Analyzing your traffic..
The information web analytics systems provide is invaluable. They allow you to analyze browsing time, bounce rate, sources of traffic, etc.
You probably have your analytics set up to tell you that "search term x" has a 2.2% conversion rate. Wouldn't it be nice to also know the browsing habits of people that searched for "search term x", or even better, the browsing habits of buyers?
By analyzing from this new perspective, you could notice that most of your users spend most of their time on page-3 before buying. Or you could notice that page-2 has a long retention time, but almost all of its viewers never buy.
I've searched high and low, but still haven't found an analytics system that does anything like this.
Maybe I'm asking for too much, but I find the current method of analytics to be somewhat cryptic and time consuming to effectively analyze.
How do you utilize your website's analytics? Please feel free to share successes or advice!
