quick 10 bucks to someone that can help

me figure out how to do a float in. i bought a float in generator and it does not do what i want it to do. i subscribe to get response and tried their float in, and it does not do what i want it to do. i have an example of a float in from a website, and i would like to have that specific feature on my website. since i'm not really a website guy, i don't really understand what i am looking at when i look at the source code for their site

i'd like to have the code, (if someone can figure this out) so that i can customize it in the future.

i'll pay 10 bucks through my paypal account if someone can show me who already knows how to do this.

i couldn't really figure out where to place this thread so sorry if it is in the wrong section.

Eric

    Hi Eric,
Wouldn't you mind to post the example site here so Warriors could understand better what you mean...

ok so the main problem i'm having is that when i run the script in internet explorer there is a security warning stating whether i want to run the script or not. but this website www.dreamscometrue4you.com has the float in but does not have any kind of security warning.
it's really important that the float in executes without tripping any security warning. you can see what ie7 is doing when you go to my website Power Home Tips.

        thanks!

I don't get the security warning, and I'm running the default security settings of medium-high in IE7. It looks like simple JavaScript, and there's no reason for this to be happening. This actually happens when you go the website, or when you try and run it locally from your computer? What's the error?

I have also looked at your site and get no security warnings at all.

oh wow, i never checked the website. i ran it locally and got the active x warning, but i just now tried it online, after your comments and now i'm not getting the error. why would that happen?
and yes i feel dumb [sheepish grin]

Because when you open an HTML file locally on your computer, you are opening it in IE's "Local" zone, which has higher security, and does not allow scripting. Don't feel dumb, it happens all the time.

one more quick question. using ie7 the popup only appears once. after the second visit it no longer appears, but in firefox it appears every time i visit the site. i'm assuming ie7 is storing the page as a temporary file or cookie, however when you go to www.dreamscometrue4you.com the pop up appears every time in ie7. does anyone know why this occurs?

I bet it appears in FireFox every time because you clear all your cookies when you close FireFox. This is probably not the case in IE. AWeber and GetResponse have an option to only appear once per visitor, based on a cookie it drops. You change that option.
