Which Domain is better?

I have two domains chosen and I need help deciding on which on to build a brand for.

I know some of you here are experts on branding so what are your thoughts on what domain type to choose? (type of site is in the poll)

Thanks,

Aaron

It really depends on what exactly it does.

So in that spirit, what are you building?

Just ask yourself which domain is more like:

    Microsoft.com
    Yahoo.com
    Bing.com
    Twitter.com
    eBay.com
    Facebook.com
    Alexa.com
    Amazon.com

I think it is PowPon.com. Definitely not RevenueMountain.com.

    I vote for Powpon.com

    Reason:
    It's more abstract.
Just like zappos. They decide not to use shoesite.com, and choose zappos.

The more abstract, the more easy to be branding. People haven't had any perception about the name.

I think elexmedia hit this one on the head. I agree fully.

I believe Powpon would be more of a success in terms of branding.

Wish the best of luck on your project.

Thank you everyone for giving me such good reasons for choosing PowPon.

Interesting that the poll results are in favor of the other domain, but no one speaking up as to why they chose it.

Do any branding experts choose revenue mountain? Please share your reasons why you choose that domain.

    In appreciation,

      Don't count me in.
I believe both domains are bad for that niche.
One of them: No Traffic, No CPC
The other, No traffic, $0.05 CPC.
Not to mention both of them don't make the $200.00 valuation.
Sorry, just forget it. Do keyword research.

It's true but the OP is talking about branding his business. I would assume that there were 0 searches for phrases like bing, expedia etc before those companies were formed. There are plenty of other ways of driving traffic besides an exact match domain.

Usually I would have a keyword rich domain.

In this situation I am not looking for popular keywords.

My goal is to create the keyword that will become a popular search term.

          Oops!! Sorry about that...
In that case I like "Revenue Mountain"
Hope you also get mountains of "green" currency.

I originally voted for Revenue Mountain because it is straight forward and I could see a little glacier mountain behind the name....but after seeing what it the site is going to do, and reading the argument for PowPon, I change my vote.

    Good luck with it!

The big guns in the internet world such as google, yahoo, msn, hotmail, facebook, youtube and more all have spent years building, developing, marketing their names and services and and as a result they have succeeded to achieve the success they have today.

What it really matters, to me, is the concept and it's implementation.

Nevertheless, unique and short domain names will probably have better chances to get a better brand name.

In today's online world with innumerable web 2.0 and web3.0 properties which allow the visitors to socialize and go viral with social networking features, it's really not that hard to spread the words of good work or services around and let people know about your brand.

If you really have a good concept, money to finance, and good team with good management skill then you'll definitely have better chance to succeed.

Before to end my words, I would like to ask what you think about the following domains like:

    AZAGIS.COM
    FINIOLE.COM
    HEIGHT360.COM
    LAMPI.ORG
    PRODIDE.COM
    RAPACIOUS.ORG
    STOCUM.COM
    TOSLA.COM
    Signature

I'm looking for a great mentor and also looking for experienced wordpress developer.
