Default How Can I Set Up A Store on My website?

Hey WF!

I am looking for an application that will allow me to have a store on my site complete with a shopping cart application and a checkout application.

How would I go about setting this up?

Thanks!

DT

Hi friend
Now a days many webhosting services are offering shopping cart facility for free.
you can create your own shopping cart if you have paypal account.

Hi,

You would need a domain name, host and the basic
skills to install PHP scripts, like a shopping cart etc...

I have a guide that will help with the install process:
Learn How To Install PHP Scripts

Other than that, if you have a domain and hosting,
you need to learn how to install php scripts.

Does your hosting company have Cpanel?

There should be a few options within where you can do a one click install on a few shopping carts.

Maybe try Yahoo's Small Business site too. They offer some things you might want. And are very beginner friendly to operate.

Aloha Dudley and welcome to the Warriors Forum

There are many different ways to create a shopping cart for your site - a number of open source products as well as commercial ones. And as was already mentioned, if you are using Paypal then they have a built-in shopping cart that you can setup in as much time as it takes to copy the button HTML code to use on your site.

I suggest that you outline your requirements first - how many products do you want to sell, how often will you be updating it, what is your level of expertise when it comes down to configuring all of this? Once you have your requirements down you can Google a few common shopping cart solutions and see which ones meet your needs.

Please let me know if you need any assistance, I know it can all be very confusing. Always happy to help a fellow Warrior, especially one from my hometown!
