Is there any point in buying this fiverr gig?

Would this make any real difference to my site ranking? $5 doesn't seem worth it for a single PR3 Backlink. I've been posting to much higher pr sites that allow dofollow.

Also, I bought a fiverr gig that put my site link in a topix.com article. The article has no PR (Just a ?). Guy promised it as a PR7, but thats the actual website "topix.com" not my page. Was I ripped off? Thanks.

    Many sellers will tell you its "high pr" when its just referring to the root domain that's high PR. If it's some new page they created for you, it's not going to have any PR--the difference is night and day.

    It is deceptive and common to be advertising like that, whether or not the seller even knows the difference.


    For the blogroll link, if they are putting a ton of them on the same site, the effect of it would be diluted. I wouldn't expect any 1-off $5 payment blogroll links to be low OBL or well taken care of.

    Read the fiverr gig carefully. Did he say that the page your article will be featured on will be a PR7 or did he say that the website your article will be published on will be a PR7.

    If he promised one thing and did something else, then yes you got ripped off.

    I have seen these kind of advertisements for backlink services a lot. Even in WSOs. Sellers state that you will be able to build backlinks on PR6,7,8 websites. Newbies do not know that the homepage PR of these websites do not do much to help you if your article is featured on another page on that website.

      You are right. The scam is everywhere. The best way to generate them is also simple just putting in our efforts and potential.
