The very first thing i would do is to contact that user and to try to solve this in a very friendly way (i know that you're angry but you must do it) and if he is so good at getting views, why aren't you asking for a partnership ?
You will create the products and he will sell them split the payments 50/50.
That will be good for both:
YOU - create each day new ebooks, and don't worry more about traffic and uploading/editing videos, just receive payments.

HE - get commissions and fresh products to promote.

Win-win situation.

But if you want to be "bad" i give you the "Terminator" solution xD :

a.Send an email to youtube support and explain them your problem.
b.Go to microworkers and pay 10 cents for each report + flag pay 50 people to do this = 5$
(his video will be removed in less than 24h).

Again, i vote for the first options !
If we will fight with everyone on this planet when we will have time to do REAL business ? Let's make friends and make more money !

Tips how to get more videos to your Youtube Video :

1.Buy more subscribers !
2.Buy min 500 views to each of your video and some likes (in this way you get to be a trusted seller for your visitors).
3.Create funny video compilations for other niches but insert 5 seconds video advertising for your site or for your other video (remember funny almost always goes viral).

I would have so many tips to share, but i think that i already wrote an article here, lol, and i know that this is not a blog but a forum, and let's keep it short

hey thanks for the advice there.....that is a good idea, but I did pm him/her thru his/her link there but have had no response so posted comments on his (my video) link to get his attention to contact me.

still no response...I did report it to google/youtube, but that took forever to just get a support email....so hopefully it doesnt mess up the trust I am trying to build there when people see both vids and see that both say they are me....

it is obvious he/she is not from here, they cant spell or use english very well so hopefully that will make it obvious enough for people to know he hacked my vid or it isnt me..

Hey!. This is a great idea. A wave of complains to Google!. This could work when someone steal your content (or site) and other similar situations.

igenius, you must have smoked something before you typed your "solution"...Why would anybody want to partner with a jacker for the sake of profits? Dude wasn't thinking about a partnership when he jacked someone else's video and identity. @geoscash1, I'm sorry to hear this has happened and I've not been in this situation, so I really wouldn't know what else to do either. But I wouldn't touch igenius's advice about a partnership just to get robbed...

I agree with you 100%...I wouldnt even really had given that a thought..I did try to contact the person to give them a chance to remove it but no response so am taking action elswhere so now he will probably get banned or lose the account....hopefully...lol

I do have an idea,

since he put his link in the description, I will click thru it all the way to the paypal page and scroll to the bottom of it and get his Clickbank affiliate ID and report him to clickbank also....

maybe he will get banned from there too....

I agree, file the DMCA and don't waste your time trying to email him.

However if the video isn't 100% original in which you own the copyright, you can't complain that someone stole video.

  oh well, I still havent heard from youtube or google but will continue to try and get this person banned and get the vid removed..
  
  I did read today that any original video you upload is automaticlly copyright protected so anyone hacking it or downloading your vid and re using it without written consent or purchase rights is copyright infringment and invasion of privacy so it sounds like the person will lose his access once they are done....I hope...

People are lazy and will copy your stuff without regard for the law. One thing you can do is put a watermark of your own url throughout the video so if anyone does steal it, they are promoting your own site. That's probably the best thing you can do to help combat lazy jerks.

Thank you godinu, that is a great idea. it was my first self made video review of a product so had not thought of that, hec i didnt think someone would take the vid either...
the person that took it did put a water mark in the vid, saying click the link, not sure if he added his link in the vid, I didnt watch it all the way thru, I was to busy trippin out about it...

This is turning out to be real interesting...

I just hopped over to youtube and found that my vid was taken yet another time.....lol

for a total of 5 thefts 5 different users on youtube...

so what I just did was click thru the link they added to my video and guess what, it goes to the same clickbank user...

I tried calling CB today but they are closed for the holiday...

Also, this same individual has stolen 14 other peoples videos that I can find..

I went to each of the hacker/scammers channels and blocked them, but it is obvious this individual is intent on stealing from others no matter what...

I did file the copyright notice that Marty S. posted the link to in the above reply so will see what happens from here...

I will try to get CB on the phone tomorrow also and report this user as a scammer and hoplink thief...

I'll keep everyone updated...

You can put a watermark of your site inside this video , so they will not able stole your video completely and also add your site in the start and end of the video.

DMCA to YouTube, or make sure to always add a watermark(your link) going from corner to corner every 2 minutes so there is no way for them to instant copy your video with their botting software.

Also if you talk in the video pointing them to where ever you want them to go is a bonus so no one will want to copy your video cause it'll hurt them at the end.

Even with all this they'll still copy, BUT you'll still get sales cause the video is pointing them to the destination you want them to go to.

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to update on what has transpired with the youtube video hacker scammer..

Finally after a week, youtube removed or banned the guy in question along with the video....

BUT, after he/she was banned/closed they opened a new account, went thru and flagged all my videos in my channel as spam....

THEN, re-uplooaded the same video they took before and did it again under the new account.....

Obviously, I must have done a decent job with the review, since they continure to steal the vid and make it theres...lol

I'm past being pissed about it, because its still generating sales for me and I think because its showing up in searches for the product i am getting the traffic because my vid shows up first in the search...

So I guess its ok, but on the other hand its not...

Here is my Conclusion;
if you do a product review video as mentioned above ad a watermark with your link in the video...
I did mine live and just added my link to the description but even better yet, if you do a live vid of yourself reviewing a product, make a sign or banner that sits behind you where ever you are recording from, that way its in the video with you and not added as a watermark. you can still ad the watermark to make it more difficult.
I did have one video where i added some rolling comments and the link in the vid, they just removed them in an editor and put there own in..

I had 3 vids stolen in a week (last week) by the same jerk..

I will be opening a new account there today and change the way I do vids...
I am also recommending to youtube/google that they add a "permission to download" instead of just being able to download any vid so when someone that wants your vid to download, you will be messaged and it will be your option to give permission...
that would save them headache (youtube) from getting complaints of privacy and video theft.

I have had the same exact thing done to me. What I did (and what you should do), is get in touch with your affiliate manager and ask them to disable his account and send him a message. The affiliate network I work with disabled the accounts in question in less than 12 hours, so the culprit has a bunch of my videos that he is going to make no money on.

As a matter of fact, they not only disabled his/her account, they sent him a message that if he wants to get back in he needs to remove the videos and not do it again.

That is really good info to know for everyone here....I did contact support of the product I am promoting, they replied and said, they wont do anything and that I need to contact clickbank and report him/her there...so that is on the agenda for today...

Man, when doing youtube marketing, ALWAYS, ALWAYS watermark your video. Months ago even my ****ty vids were copied by competitors, i thought no one would steal them, haha, they upload all they can find.

Well, unfortunately, you live and learn, somtimes the hard way...lol

I am new and a week ago this past friday (16th) was my first video upload to youtube, it was hacked/stolen the next day (17th) but I didnt know until I saw my own vid in the feature column in the side bar a few days later...

I uploaded 15 videos over the week and have learned to edit it and put stuff in it, but they just erase it and watermark over it unless it isnt getting any views, then they havent messed with them....lol

Well, I finally gottem....for a moment....lol

Apparently there is a few working together.....had 9 videos shut off by youtube and so far 3 clickbank accounts being deactivated as of today.

as of the 26th, they/he/she opened 12 new accounts on youtube, swiped 18 different peoples videos, then added ther descriptions and links and re-uploaded them.

Today, mine was grabbed again, by another, then the link and descrition was changed again...Oddly enough, the link they put in the description today doesnt even go to the product being promoted in my video, its for a sign up page......lol

So its obvious they are just tryin to steal the traffic.....I had 432 views in 6 days with the video mentioned....now I'm lucky to get one a day....oh well, you live and learn....

They will be pissed for a bit though, since they will have to open new CB accounts to start all over again....lol
