My Exine Article Is Being Used Without A Link Back...?

Also they have built links to their own article but to off all the links to my site. This likley happens alot but is there anything that can be done?

I did notice the only thing that seperates the two is the published date which is four days before the other site using my content.

    It happens sometimes.

    I fully understand how you feel but you have to ask yourself whether it is worth your time chasing them and trying to get them to do something about it.

    If you uploaded it to your own site first and got it indexed by Ms G before you submitted it, there is probably not a lot of damage done.

      It is entirely worth the small amount of time it takes to handle the problem. You simply issue a DMCA to their host. Others on here have reported about a 99% success rate. You don't have to let your content be stolen.

    Instead of trying to get content taken down - send an e-mail to the webmaster asking them to reinstate your bio box, they may have not been aware that they could alter it.

    Also let them know that if no action is taken in 7 days then you'll send a DMCA letter to their host.

    ^^^That works too. You don't always have to go for the throat. In this case though, where all of the original authors links were intentionally removed and replaced throughout the article with the thief's own links it definitely seems like they knew what they were doing.

    This happened to me more times than I can count. What's worse than this, however, is when the article gets pulled, spun, and my links replaced with the blog owner's affiliate links and THEN published to their blog. It's downright wrong is what it is. And most of the time they leave the name on the article, so anyone that tries to read the jumbled monstrosity thinks I wrote it! DESPICABLE!

    After reading some of these posts (here and other threads on WF) i googled lines from all 3 of the ezine articles I have written so far and everyone has been reprinted on one or more sites without crediting the article to me (one even had the by line as someone else) or leaving my links inact. I guess I should gtake it as a complement to my writing but it truly ticks me off. I have sent emails to those with contact information and DMCA emails to those without. We shall see if anything happens.Those of you who extensively use article marketing (syndication) to promote your sites must either have really thick skin or spend a trmendous amount of time dealing with this issue. Personally, I am almost sorry I looked as I was much happier before I knew my stuff had been plagarized.
