Niche Taser keywords tool - it's a stunner!

Hey all;

I've uploaded a keyword tool I've been working on for a while onto my blog and it's free for all to download (no opt-in at the moment).

It hooks into Google's Keyword External tool and has a cool filter feature to help drill down and find valuable keyword(s)

All countries are listed and data for broad, phrase and exact can be downloaded.

I developed the tool because I wanted a quick way of checking the competition in Google for "exact phrase" and the only way to do it previously was either by hand or one of the commercial tools.

Now with Niche Taser I can grab the keywords I want and get the software to check the exact phrase count before exporting them to .csv or copy/paste.

Anyways, I'd love it if anyone could check it out and leave me some feedback.

EDIT: Forgot to mention - be careful how many keywords you query Google for the "exact phrase". Too many requests will get your IP blocked. This is common with all keyword tools - I use the proxy service at http://www.hidemyip.com

Absolutely brilliant and simple tool. I've installed it and I'm quite pleased I don't have to visit the google keyword tool anymore. Thanks, Austin!

Edit: Love the fact it's a standalone program. It doesn't seem to require any installation or registry entries.

Glad you guys like it (so far - lol).

The right-click menu is really useful after you've downloaded the keywords - you can select/deselect all, delete and copy straight to an open spreadsheet. I use this to build up a keyword list without having export a new csv everytime.

Pls be wary with the amount of keywords you use the 'count' feature on tho' - google does eventually block IPs that make too many requests. i use http://hipemyip.com

I just checked out this tool, of which I'm usually skeptical but this tool is legitimate. It also works with pulling the CAPTCHA and processing it accurately. In a matter of seconds it yields the results and allows easy export. Great work on the tool!

However, I'm curious what additional benefits someone has using the tool versus the Google KW site?

Hi JVManna - the benefit is that you can check the "exact phrase" results for the keywords also which gives a rough indication of the size of the competition.

Also, the filter helps to drill down keywords and then copy/paste (with all the data) straight to a spreadsheet.

Hi Austin,

Nice piece of work.

I have a number of keyword tools including Nichebot, Keyword Elite, Micro Niche Finder... However Niche Taser has an immediacy and simplicity that the others lack. Well done.

A couple of suggestions (for what they're worth):

1. In the filtering, make blank 'UPPER' equal infinity (and blank 'LOWER' 0).
2. Can you return google's 'Additional keywords to consider'
3. What about calculating Ratios and KEIs?
4. Resizeable (elongatable) window
5. What are the checkboxes?
6. Mac version

5. checkboxes - right-click on your mouse and you get a sub-menu. I use this to delete unwanted keywords and copy/paste to excel so I can build up a extensive keyword list without having to use 'export'

Oops, of course, you are right -- I think I was looking for the little resize mark on Mac windows.

Can the TOR be used to hidden IP?

Sorry, I'm aware of TOR but not familiar with it. The software uses the same proxy as Internet Explorer.

Nice tool, but I am a little confused about how to use the lower and upper. What does this mean and how do I use it to correctly.

The lower/upper limits are used to filter the keyword list, i.e. only display keywords between min and max volume. The 'volume' is the amount of searches per month on google.

This is mostly used before running the software to get the 'phrase' results (to cut down the size of the keyword list).

Hi Austin,

Just downloaded it and it runs like a dream.
The only problem is I am running it in Switzerland and, no matter what "Country" I select in the dropdown box the keywords it returns are mostly German
Can you add an option to select which Google datacentre it queries?

I right clicked the software, saved it to my harddrive, and all I got was this:







I click on the actual link you gave out Austin and Got This.

To run this app, you must install NET.framework v2.0.50727

Anybody else get the same message?

I'm waiting on a new version of Niche Taser with a few minor changes. Should be released next week.

In the meantime please insure you have .Net framework installed and also ensure the app is 'allowed' in your firewall settings.

First of all thanks for providing such an excellent tool for free. Secondly the "Import" function is not working for me as the program crashes with an "Unhandled exception" error. I don't have any problems when generation keyword lists from one or more seed keywords. Am I the only one having this problem when importing keywords from a .csv file?

Can you add another column that shows allintitle: "Key word" results. That helps a lot.

Thanks for making it available for free. I suggest you should atleast collect emails of people who are downloading it.
