I know that content marketing is updating your blog/ site regularly by adding informative, quality posts for your visitors.
How can we make sales with this method? Just by locating banners?
Can't we make product reviews in some of the posts?

    Well, for content marketing you can also write SEO-friendly review about the
    product that you are promoting. Please note that there are many ways to
    profit with content marketing: free reports, blogging, video tutorial, email
    newsletter and etc.

    Here are just a few of the ways you can monitize a blog:
    • You can create your own products and link to them in your blog posts.
    • You can do the same with affiliate products though you might have to link to a landing page rather than a sales page.
    • You can charge for advertising if you have sufficient traffic.
    • You can offer MRR & PLR reports and other products for sale.
    • You can write a newsletter and get subscribers and market to them.
    • You can create an optin page and give something away to build a list and then market to your list.
    • You can offer services on your blog.

    if your selling a product the content should be based around how the product can help someone. You can use this tool https://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/keyword-questions to find relevent content ideas.

    Just type in a keyword/s and it spits out some of the questions that have been typed into google. Its pretty good for content ideas.

    Content marketing is a must for SEO but you can also make money. It is vital that your content is not a sales letter, readers will most likely click off in an instant.
    Preselling is the way forward but it is also a fine art. The general idea is to give readers exactly what they are looking for (through the keyword search term they used,) and building trust throughout.
    Can you make the reader feel that if they don't read on they will be missing out on something? This is key!
    Also, do not fill with hop links. Instead, give the reader what they want, build trust and direct them to a solution to their problem (hop link,) one that you highly recommend.

    There are a whack of ways to promote almost anything online, the one that pops out the most is the show me plugin. You set the plugin up with all of your product, and affiliate banner links and the plugin inserts a random banner into each post.

    You should be focusing on converting those visitors into being subscribers so you can contact them with your valuable information and recommendations. Use your blog to showcase your content as well as your emails you send to your subscribers.

    Many people prefer to read from the site, so by posting your emails to your blog as well you gain extra visitors and more opportunities to get them on your mailing list.

    Travlinguy has given you some great advice... If you really want to make some money with your blog, take advantage of those tips. (Just be warned that nothing's instantaneous... you'll have to really work at it!)

    That being said, there is way more to "content marketing" than just updating your blog. Guest posting and article syndication are two of the biggest ways to use content to market your business. If you really want to take advantage of everything that content marketing has to offer, I suggest you do some searching/reading around the forum, and take a look at all of the different opportunities that are out there.

    For SEO reasons it is great to create content but also for pre-selling the person. So building a relationship of trust is important through your content you are creating.
