What do you think are marketable skills that you can use to acquire freelance work on warriors for hire, elance, odesk, etc.

Banner making. I would kill to find someone cheap and reliable. Cheap isn't so tough but reliable is seemingly impossible.

Many banner makers don't really get it. They are good at graphics but not at coming up with effective ad copy. I think someone who could do both really well and wasn't afraid to hustle up business could make decent money.

On the other hand, you'd be competing with people who think $1 a day is a lot of money so your work would have to be very high quality and you'd have to come through quickly.

I don't see many people offering to juggle. Why don't you offer that? I'd hire you.

...Seriously though content, web design, things like that are what people sell on the sites you mentioned. You will want to find a way to make yourself stand out though, there is a lot of white noise on those sites.

That's something you will have to figure out on your own. What can you deliver that no one else can? A lot of people on here (myself among them) may just end up being your competition...so don't expect us to give away any secrets.

I think the #1 you could do is not be a flake. You've simply got to do the work quickly and consistently. Anyone here who has ever hired a designer can tell you horror stories of people vanishing, turning in shoddy work, turning in half done work, or simply not doing the work at all. Finding someone who actually returned emails would be very refreshing.
