Advice for video file format to sell online

Hiya - I'm a yoga instructor and I've filmed some yoga videos to sell online through a blog. I'm in the process of editing them using PowerDirector. Does anyone have any advice on the best file format to produce the videos in? PowerDirector choices are avi, mpeg-1, mpeg-2, mpeg-4, wmv, mov, avch.

Will the people downloading them really notice a difference between mpeg-4/avch and the "lesser" quality formats?

It takes 4 hours to 'produce' a 15 minute mpeg-4 versus 40 minutes for an avi.

I'm thinking about using eStore to sell them through my Wordpress blog.

Opinions please

Liz

If you're selling videos to be downloaded, I'd suggest keeping the file size as small as possible while maintaining "reasonable" picture quality. Your customers don't want to spend hours downloading any more than you want to spend hours rendering. So try to adjust your settings for that.

I think mp4 format is the easiest for customers, because most video players handle it. Avi is for editing, not for viewing (don't sell to end users in that format).

I do agree with you that mp4 is the easiest format for customers. That is
what most marketer online use to upload their videos. So, I recommend you
    to use this format.

If you don't know, mp4 is the abbreviation of mpeg-4
