Continuity Membership Site - Profit Split?
Just like when you publish a book, there is the author (expert) and the publisher. The author provides the content, the publisher does everything else (put the book together, editing, printing, promotion, etc.).
I am currently discussing with an expert who I want to be the content developer and the expert for a membership site I want to develop.
I will be the publisher / developer of the site. In other words, I will do all the work of developing and promoting the site in addition to processing all the transactions, etc. and this expert will have to contribute content on a regular basis.
I would like to know what are typical percentage for profit split in similar joint venture. I tend to understand that publishers tend to get a higher portion of it but I am clueless regarding what is a fair split and how it should.
Any insights would be appreciated before I start talking numbers with this expert.
