I've been looking at a lot of Graphic Artist's sites and I have a comment. The portfolio is an essential part of your presentation, but it could also be a negative for visitors. What seems to happen all too often is that graphic artists will link directly to a site they have worked on. That site in some cases either: 1. Is no longer active and visitors get a 404 error 2. Is now a parked landing page having nothing to do with the original site 3. Has changed from the design to a radically different design, perhaps by a different artist with a link at the bottom The smart graphic artists I've seen have a local copy of the site they have worked on that shows their design in all its glory without going to the live site. |
