You should keep adding original content or use an autoblog and let the traffic come from search engines

You can also build backlinks to bring in more organic traffic

I think you should add little bit more content first to your blog. Visitors want to read something when they arrive at your website.

Depends what traffic generation strategies you are using. I would reccommend starting to get traffic straight away. Unless you pay for it, you won't get heaps right off the bat, but you may get a trickle. When you have some good free content on your blog (say 5-6 posts) start to get as much traffic as possible, while writing posts at least once a week, preferably more, depending on your niche.

(for common blogging) 10 articles for the first time. And 2 articles per week after that, depending on your niche.

(for review sites) 3 articles and only 1 additional per month after that ( I guess).

To make things easier, invite / allow for guest bloggers to submit content (for blogging).

It probably doesn't matter that much in the long run, if at all. Don't overthink it.

If you're going to send traffic to one blog post, that one blog post better be the most important blog post in the world. You'll ruin whatever reputation you're trying to build with anything else.

If you are sending traffic to a blog, how are you making money? Do you have a list building component built into it?

I would suggest at least 3 posts before traffic, but you must know your business model first.
