Trying to sell a domain/gauge the value of a domain

hello Warriors,

I'm a new member.

I'm trying to sell a domain name, which I consider to be a very premium name, though the market so far has not responded. That includes requests made to brokers.

So,

what is a good place to sell it at the Warrior Forum? The War Room, Complete websites, or other?

I can't list the domain here, but if you happen to google part of my username and find it, I can't be expected to respond dishonestly :-)

As far as having things to contribute: I'm owner of several info products and have sold many 10's of thousands of copies. I'm a copywriter slash researcher.

Good to be here,
Erik.

    Hope bumping is allowed.

Basically, I'm finding out whether to join War Room or post an ad in the Complete websites category for a .com.

    Thanks.

If you pm me, I can point you to some people who are very successful in selling domains for top dollar. (Top dollar nowadays isn't quite what it used to be though.) I'll help however I can.

By the way, realize that the value of a domain is highly subjective and depends on many factors... trends, how many people are fighting/wanting/able to pay for a domain, economics, site performance (traffic), age, etc. etc. etc.

I'm no professional domainer, but there are definitely some common sense things that you can do to raise the potential value of your domain, including bringing more and steady traffic, letting the domain age a little, having a site with regular content and (more importantly) a following, etc.

        Just my .02.

    Warpedmind,

    Apparantly, PM's require 50 posts.

If you can help me here, that'd be great.

An email to erik at infoage dotcom would work as well :-)

I agree, those things would change the value by a lot.

Unfortunately, this domain has aged, but has never had any independant activity. I use it for autoresponders, mailings and other administrative purposes, which is a waste of an otherwise useful name.

I dont think this the best place to get top dollar for your domain or you could put it as your signature. that will give you better exposure

Bummer. Apparently alot doesn't happen until you've done 50 posts! Oh well, I guess I'll keep posting!

I'll drop you an email. Nice domain, btw. ;-)

        Same here.

        Thanks.

I saw InformationAge listed for $60.000

Surely, there must be something in between Godaddy's estimated $250,-, my (probably low) current price and that list price.
