Clickbank is easier. You can use Craigslist forum to promote it... easy

I generally suggest ClickBank to people who are new, it has always seemed to me to be easier for newbies - plus the IM niche will always sell Good luck!

As far as affiliate marketing goes, I got my start in IM promoting clickbank products, but now I have a good amount of Amazon sites. Both are great for new and experienced marketers, however I lean a little more towards Amazon myself.

It depends... If you live in California you can not be an affiliate. Here are a couple things to keep in mind: Clickbank vendors give higher % of money to its affiliates (around 50%-75% usually). Amazon is nice because even if they don't buy the product you were promoting you still get the % of money. Amazon is know for customer service and satisfaction but I recommend clickbank first. What you might want to do is have someone build a website for you, see what they do, then copy them. If you want to do that check Bills service out http://www.warriorforum.com/complete...page-site.html

    Hope that helps

    Wrong question!

Pick a subject matter that you understand and can offer real HELP to people on. Then find the proper affiliate program / product.. It might be a physical Amazon product or it might be a digital Amazon product.

The Clickbank vs Amazon product question is about as silly ask asking if you should buy something at Costco or Walmart. You're missing the point, bigtime.

I'm a tad surprised that anyone would pick Clickbank as being easier than Amazon.

The ability to convert a visit to a sale with Amazon is virtually unmatched, while most Clickbank sites are simply not in the same league - their conversion rate is going to be far less. So to *really* sell Clickbank products can only be effectively done with a list.

It's far easier for a beginner to put up an Amazon review site and get it ranked than to do the same with a Clickbank product AND listbuilding from that Clickbank affiliate website.

People often get confused... 'Why should I want 5-8% when I can get 50-75%?' What isn't considered is the ease of picking up that 5% vs. the difficulty of picking up that 50%.

Nothing wrong with Clickbank Affiliate marketing, I just don't see it as easy to do for beginners as Amazon Affiliate marketing. Just my 2 cents worth, anyway.

P.S. Amazon added California back months ago... and even for states that cannot affiliate with Amazon directly, Viglink or Skimlinks work just fine.

    Merry Christmas!!!

Seems it's split down the middle so far. For a while it sounded like clickbank was getting the votes but now amazon. As Vincent 'Vinnie' Barbarino would say: "i'm so confused!"

You really ought to think about what kinds of things you want to promote first and then you'll have your answer. Look through what kinds of offers are on clickbank and think about how you would actually promote those, and would you feel good promoting those. Then think about what you can promote from amazon, which is just about every kind of product under the sun. Amazon items are really easy to incorporate into nearly any kind of blog or website.
You want to be sure you enjoy writing about or promoting whatever it is you ultimately decide to sell -- if you like the item, then it will be easy to do the work. If you don't like the thing you choose to promote, then it will never feel right and that will come through to the site visitors.

I honestly think none is better than the other. Once you find a good niche, you can sell products from both Amazon and Clickbank.

To me Amazon products are easier to sell but the commissions are typically lower. Not a lot of persons who shop online even know what an ebook is. But they are more ready to buy products on amazon because they are accustomed to buying those kinds of stuff at the store.

In my opinion, I think you should find the niche/market first and then you think about the product to promote which best suits the need of the market.

I just happen to be listening to the radio tonight in the car and the talk radio show was about to go to commercial, but before they did they gave out a number for anyone to call who needed marriage counseling or weight loss tips, and i was like "BINGO!", the light bulb went off in my head. I thought that would be perfect for a couple clickbank sites. But i also recently bought 2 domain names: playstationvita-review.com and wiiureviewsite.com. and was maybe thinking of going with amazon for the vita for now and then the wii site later next year.
