Don't be afraid of competition... just be great!

Happy Holidays Everyone,

I hear a lot of talk and fear surrounding competition and
thought I would share a story you may find encouraging.

My brother is passionate about health and decided to start
a company that sells health supplements.

What he encountered was a lot of... "the market is saturated",
"you don't stand a chance", "there's far too much competition".

My brother took no notice of the negatives because he knew
what he was offering was the purest and the best that money
can buy and never went the route of trying to gain customers
by being cheaper than the competition.

Oh and he doesn't overwork himself either, he has a very small
staff and runs the business from home.

The company is only a few years old and has become the leading
distributor of health food supplements in the country and makes
around 1.5 million (and growing) in pure profit every single month!

So much for saturation and competition, so don't be afraid to follow
your dream!

    This is great advice Angela! If you're confident in what you have to offer and are able to meet the current and future needs of your target audience, then you can "compete" at the very least.

    I'm certain a lot of work and marketing effort went into that success as well. So, being able to put yourself out there (confidence) really helps. This often means filtering out the lack of confidence others may have in your pursuits.

      I believe if you follow your passion and really strive to provide value at all times, the money will just follow. A strange thing is, many people have difficulty trying to find their passions and what they are good at...

    The Internet is huge enough that I personally think "colleagues"...not competition.

    Now, true, sometimes you'll get idjuts whose main goal in life is to bring you down.

    In that case, simply wish them well - you have much better things to do!

    Marketing-wise, you can always promote your competitors with their affiliate links. They make money, you make money...life is grand.

    Always keep your eyes focused on the bigger picture and you'll find....

      This is very true, especially if you're a solo freelancer offering a service yourself. I mean, I'm not going to be able write more than 0.00001% of all the sales letters being demanded in English speaking markets on any given day.
