Crushing 2012 - how are you going to do it?

So 2012 is fast coming soon!

And what will *you* be doing differently?

After centuries of being a solopreneur, *I* will be partnering with other like-minded creative ethical marketers who value newbies and experienced folk alike (plus like to have a lot of fun doing business!).

Plus, I've given myself permission to ignore what bunches of bloggers say (shun the self-promoter!) and fully embrace what I have to offer me community.

How 'bout you?

I'm just going to work hard as always. It's just a number. How is 2012 going to be different from 2011, 2010, 2009? It won't. You just work hard, improve your skills and make money, no matter what year it is.

Ooo me me me (raises hand wildly)!

How's it going to be different?

It's a gonna be different because I can leverage all of the hard-earned knowledge of the past 4 months (normally the past year, mind you, but my learning curve these 4 months has been exponential).

So instead of just 'working hard', ideally.... I'm working 'smarter'.

      Woot!

We are looking to focus on copywriting and put forth efforts towards higher conversion rates.

For us, 2011 was the year of SEO and traffic which we handily achieved...but we were quickly reminded of the fact that SEO and traffic are not the end-all be-all of a business model.

      Hi, barbling

Well, I got a new pair of "SPECIAL GLASSES" for Christmas that are guaranteed to help me only see straight forward. They are guaranteed to block out all the shiny new objects lying around on the sides of my path that seem to steal my focus! Oh, and I got a second pair FREE, just for extra shipping and handling!

But, seriously, I am going back to the beginning. I am in the process of mapping out what type of business model I want to focus on, what steps I need to take to establish that business and what it will take to make it profitable.

I am prioritizing tasks so that I make sure the most important ones are done first, so as to get the most "punch" out of my efforts in the beginning.

I "allowed" to many things to steal my focus this year, and have to admit that I lost in the end.

So, I am going to take what I have learned from my mistakes and apply all of that to the future of my business.

Also, I am going to be more interactive here on this forum as I KNOW it is filled with awesome help, tips and advice.

Never to late to get going. I am still breathing, so I still have hope.

      Thanks for the question!

      Robert

Well, my startegy for 2012 is simple... I'm just going to scale up what I have already been doing by making a huge effort to start outsourcing a lot of my business duties so that I can concentrate on working new methods of income.

It's hard, however, to give up the reins of one's business duties. I guess maybe I'm overprotective since I know how much work went into bringing my biz to the point it's at itoday. But, as some point you have to trust others if you want to go beyond a certain point and really hit the "big time"!

Im Going to scale up on what ive been doing for the past few month's and be consistant with it, Study a bit more for school and hopefully earn enough this year to fund my university years.

Also Try a bit of outsourcing but i have trust issues with not doing everything myself as i find what i do, i do correctly, its a bad mindset i know but i will have to try outsourcing as i have 2 more years of senior year to study for it and succeed

My focus will be on joint ventures for my own and clients'
projects. I've actually already set that train in motion,
by going on a cruise Dec 14th - 19th where all 100 or so
people in my group were very focused, type-A personalities.
So, we worked hard and played hard.

January 14th - 22nd, I'll be on the Marketers Cruise,
working on JV's, working hard, playing hard, and deepening
    real relationships.

    Jan 28th - 29th, I'll host a mastermind meeting with 8
serious movers and shakers who are as proactive as I am.

February, I have JV Alert Live, a private mastermind meeting,
    NAMS7, and Job Crusher seminars.

March, I'll make Underground Online Seminar, a mastermind
meeting, Warrior Weekend in Raleigh, Vision Weekend in
New York City, and somewhere in there I'll celebrate my
    53rd birthday.

Practically all of the above will be focused on joint
ventures... setting up projects that extend out even as
    far as into 2013!

April, I'll spend 7 days in Dominican Republic, shooting
a video and creating a product in this $15 million mansion:

Yes, I'll even fly in to that little shack in a private
    helicopter :-)

In April I'll also do some other networking on an
unannounced tropical island for 2 weeks.

Then, I'll be ready to stop goofing off and get to work!

It will be a year of taking massive action, but also time
for deep sea fishing, playing with my grandkids, and even
a trip to the Amazon rain forests :-)

    Let's see.

I have personally sold 3000 products in the work at home field over the past 3-4 years online. ( I sold products as an affiliate BUT NOT in the MLM industry which was stupid of me)

I will only focus from now on 2 things.

    1. Building leverage income through MLM companies that I am involved in online.

    2. Focus on getting more and more affiliate promoting my product.

    It's all about duplication.

I am going to focus on my one favorite main website and keep growing its presence as a website and as auxiliary tools such as apps and such. I have realized for me, it is a lot more efficient/fun to focus on one brand and grow it and make it awesome rather than make a bunch of unrelated smaller sites. 2012, create one massive player in one industry.

I've found that works for me too.

This year, I really did beef up my flagship site bigtime, and also started http://www.dailywsos.com .

Focusing solely on those two main properties has proven to be rather profitable....this year I'll be adding one more to the mix.

That's going to involve the Hidden Partnership that I'll be revealing sometime soon....

I got a daily marketing plan that i will be focusing on, and i plan to have my name well-known all across the internet marketing world. I'm taking the focus off of making money and turning my focus 100% on helping others in this industry finally get what they want (the smart way).

I am no longer looking to work with just anybody, and am solely looking to connect with like minded people who are ready to do whatever it takes to succeed.

The marketing I do is going to be tracked better than before so I can optimize where my advertising dollars are being spent.

I will be collecting testimonials from those that I help get the results they are working towards and share them on my blog.

I will help others REALIZE that making money does not have to be hard and it's not necessary to know everything before taking action.

Willie, you can't be a grandfather, you look so young! LOL!

For 2012, I'm going to continue where I left off for 2011. I will concentrate on building more relationships with other marketers, and doing more JVs. I'm going to narrow my focus on a few projects, build my business by expanding outsourcing.

Continue to focus on my membership site, and sell a couple of my established web properties for high 5 figure to six figure amounts using a new marketing plan I've been working on. If I'm successful I'll post a full report on how I did it in the War Room.

I've been re-focusing on article syndication. I was very successful with that 5 -7 years ago, but drifted away from it toward the "get my traffic from my EZA traffic" model. You know what happened next.

I'm also launching a few other projects I've had sitting on the shelf, but wanted to wait until after I got my membership site launched. Sometime in Q1 of 2012, they'll get rolled out.

So, it looks bright (and very busy) in the year ahead. I hope everyone here has a record year. I certainly plan to.

You folk are so much more experienced than me but your enthusiasm is contagious.

This year I plan to learn the ropes and develop confidence in IM. I can create good info product but I'm looking to learn about IM in the broadest sense so I can sell my products.

As I've mentioned in previous posts I'm a strong copywriter but look to hone this talent in the upcoming year.

I write guides on emotionally laden issues like girlfriend troubles, relationship issues, male issues, etc., etc. Stuff that really gets to the core of peoples human needs.

I'm setting up a business on these mastery guides to assist people getting the best out of life and making some money from my knowledge and experience.

Anyone interested in JVs let me know. If anyone has a similar business also let me know as my niches are specific enough that I'm not afraid of competition and would like to compare notes.

2012 is going to be a cracker

I plan to make few authority sites for a long term income. That's my first goal in 2012.

I'm going to be first ringing in the New Year by printing things off and making sure I have all my documents together for tax purposes in the spring (fun times). After that, I am just going to work as hard as I always do!

I've been experiencing a fair income for article writing, but I want to learn more skills and try different tactics. It is my goal this year to earn decent passive income alongside of my active income, which will hopefully free up more time to do other things that I love. After all, life is short and I want to also spend it with those I care about most!

As always I will work all day. Trying to expand my client-network from September and believe that will be my top priority for 2012.

Have you considered the Panda algorithm?, According to Mat Cutts we should be paying more attention to the Social Marketing.

I am going to get beyond currently being over whelmed and very frustrated at myself... I am looking at more shiny objects to add to my credit card debt, and I did not yet download all that I bought last week. Naturally I did not read/view the material from the prior 4 months, and I am only half certain what I have bought. I have a lot of good tools and methods to sort out, but really I need to start doing ...

For 2012 I have to get some money flowing in - more than has been going out. A little each month so that by June I can replace my dayjob income and quit wasting time driving there and doing that! Not sure I will then get more sleep, but I will have much more time to be doing the IM thing. Which is what I wish I had more time to be doing now.

2012 is the year I'm FINALLY going to launch a new business I've been working on. I'm so excited about it! (Nervous too!)

My entire focus this year is LAUNCH! I won't buy anything or DO anything else (get distracted by Bright Shiny Objects or side projects) not related to the launch.

To do it, my goals are to:

        1. Map out and execute the pre-launch and official launch.
        2. Host a successful telesummit with appropriate contributing experts.
        3. Build a list of at least 2,000.
        4. Get 100 new members by the end of 2012! (My end goal.)

I'm a naturally analytical person who takes analysis paralysis to extremes. I also want very much to "do it right", so I generally DON'T fly by the seat of my pants. I think about/plan something a LOT before actually doing. My actions and buying decisions are well-thought out long before they're done.

However, launching a new company is just overwhelming me right now and I'm on overload. I'm also feeling very isolated, working completely alone with no community or accountability. So I've already made some big decisions and invested some big $$$ this year:

        1. Product Launch Formula

Jeff just released his latest version of PLF in November. I've been a bit distracted and had some technical problems with my computer, so I'm not following at the pace he's releasing the modules. But I'm getting there!

PLF is VERY thorough and I'm extremely impressed with Jeff's sincerity and his customer service. It was a good investment!

        2. Mentoring

Gulp! Yes, I just invested in an expensive mentoring program with my mentor -- and I'm really excited about it!

The last couple of years have been tough. I lost my job in 2010 and tapped my retirement funds to start this business (which is when I first invested with my mentor by joining a group coaching program). Things got worse financially before they got better though. I ran out of funds and had to put my business dreams on hold until I got a job and got some extra cash.

I have a day job now (where I work from home!) and I received some unexpected funds in Dec. which I'm putting towards my business. Yay!

Things have been so tight these last 2 years and I wondered whether I should put so much towards coaching. After all, I need money for marketing too! (AND a small emergency cushion.)

I decided to invest with her though because I needed:

        1. Guidance (since I feel so overwhelmed)

        2. Accountability -- This is HUGE! Right now, working alone from home, it's just too easy to put things off since there are no real consequences for doing so. I need someone to turn to when I'm not sure about something (the guidance part) and to call me on my mindset stuff (fears). (It's easier to listen to someone hold you accountable when they truly "get" what you're doing and can provide answers to your questions.)

        3. Community -- I feel very isolated and alone right now. This coaching program includes 1 half-day of one-on-one coaching, 5 monthly one-on-one coaching calls (for implementation and accountability), PLUS 2 other live mastermind workshops with other ladies who are doing what I'm doing.

I can also attend her annual conference in the fall for a relatively low cost (approximately $400).

Though the program is technically only for 6 months, all of this should carry me through most of 2012.

The biggest part of the program is the one-on-one mentoring. That's a HUGE piece of it and I wouldn't pay so much if it were just a teleseminar series, home study program or a group coaching program.

I like her mentoring program because it's structured for planning (the half-day of one-on-one coaching) AND implementation (the follow up one-on-one calls along with the workshops).

As you can see, my goals and action plan for this year are VERY SPECIFIC. I leave for TX in just 2 weeks (for the half-day one-on-one coaching) and I'm SO excited!
