Finding The Best ClickBank Products To Promote

Hello everyone,

What guidelines do you usually use when looking for a ClickBank product to promote? Here are a few that I use:

Gravity = 5+
Min $20 earned per sale
No optin forms on vendor sales page
I also like to see a sales page with videos & audio testimonials

Please Feel free to add to the list

Happy Holidays!

I'm not so picky. The only two criteria I have is the products must be of high quality and suitable for the subscribers in my niches. Everything else is comparatively irrelevant.

A min $20+ per sale can often be high. Gravity is really misleading, I wouldn't use it.

Basically, visit their website. Does it look like it will convert well in your experience? Try and guestimate some math, determine if the $/sale is enough to yield you a profit based on how you will affiliate it.

I'm not saying $20+ is bad btw, I myself sell a product on clickbank that is $23.50/sale for affiliates. I'm just saying you might miss out

I have a little checklist of 10 guidelines. Here you are: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post2161932

To be honest, that criterion would actually have excluded both the two best-converting and highest-selling products I've ever promoted. And several others that have made me a lot of money.

I find those convert rather worse for me, overall. Autoplay video/audio tends to convert particularly badly - I don't mind "click to play" as much, but still slightly prefer to avoid it, if possible, other things being equal.

I won't argue with you about those two.

    1. Gravity of at least 10 or higher.
    2. Actually go to the site to see what it looks like. If it's cheap looking and it does not make you want you to buy something try another because other people will most likely feel the same way too.
    3. Over 50% commissions. 65 is best. Might as well make the most money possible.

You may like to think so, but actually conversion-rate information isn't available. Not to you, and not to me, and not to the owners of CBEngine, either. (And there are reasons for that.)

The most money? How can you determine that just from the commission rate?

Which makes you more money, 65% of $27, or 45% of $97?

A slight correction on this. Conversion rates are available to the product Vendor on Clickbank. The best way to obtain this information is simply to ask them for it. I personally have had people ask me and I have a canned response that I tell them, which includes typical conversion rates from Google Ads, from Youtube videos, from pre-sale domain websites, from article sites, and from related forum signatures.

I personally believe that the more I empower my affiliates, the better they will do, and in turn, the better I will do.

Recurring commissions are always nice, but those opportunities are few and far between.

For me the bottom line is: It this product something I would feel passionate about selling? If you are enthusiastic about the product it shows and it increases your sales.
I don't worry too much about gravity - it can be boosted by many affiliates buying a copy for themselves using their affiliate link.

I will ONLY promote something in which I have a personal relationship with the product owner.

Most of all from them I will want CONVERSION RATE PROOF, and ideally references from other people they have JVd with / their top affiliates and their conversion rates. Without this I pretty much won't promote...

why would I risk my relationship with my subscribers without knowing where I'm sending them? Without knowing the sales flow, the upsells, if they are offering value or over abusing people with offers, upsells, and exit pops. If they have good customer service, if they will answer questions, honor refund requests immediately etc...

Theres so much choice out there that I will wait and ONLY work with the people who can provide this information to me as my list is my asset and I won't push it for just anyone.

I tend to go for gravity of over 10, and 50% or more commission.

I don't mind going for low-price products because even though there is obviously less commission per sale, the sale volume can be higher because of the low price.

I am, however, still learning, and my preferences might change in time.

If I'm simply promoting the product to my list, I'm not so picky, but if I'm building a site around a product, then it should have at least

    - Gravity - 30+
    - Commission - $20+
    - Have a really well-structured sales page that I think will convert very well.

The first aspect I look at, aside from the actual product, is the site design. Then I go through the sales copy. I try to put myself in the buyer's shoes and decide if this is a site that I would be confident handing my money over to.

I rarely consider gravity. Those are usually just the result of big launches and long-standing JVs and/or IM connections.

I would say that you should check out Alexa's guide, it is the best I have ever come across and what I used initially.

These days I prefer to focus on what the sales page looks like, my knowledge of what my list is interested in, and most importantly whether i believe the product offers something that is of excellent value and use to my list which will really help them.

The structure of the emails in your marketing will also make a huge difference to your conversion rate. I know people who have had terrible conversions on products I have had excellent conversions on because they cannot be bothered to write emails in the right way.
