My Blog Was Hacked, Need Urgend Help!
I logged into my stats today and noticed that my traffic dropped from 2.5k to almost zero since yesterday.
I checked the blog and every page except the home page gave an 404-error.
I've noticed that on the home page there was a new post called "hello world" (like the one when you create a new wordpress installation). There was a new user created called admin with a yahoo-email address who created this post.
I've deleted the user and the post and all went back to normal.
What happened?
And more importantly, what precautions should I take now (I am restoring a complete WP-Folder backup now and will restore an older database copy).
