Pingback notices via email... ???

I have started using a backlink service for a WP blog that is creating consistent pingback notices via email. I don't have a lot of experience with WP and am wondering what to do with them.

The email will typically say "A new pingback on the post "Post Title" is waiting your approval http://blogposturl....

I do not have comments enabled on my blog, but I am getting these every day.

Q: Should I be doing anything with them? If not, is there a way to stop those emails?

Q: If so, how do I take full advantage of them?

    You can turn off those notifications in your Wordpress admin panel (and they will drive you nuts if you don't! I used to get a lot as well until I turned most of them off!)
