FREE BANNER MAKER

Hi,

I have created a free banner maker. No sign up required, just follow the link at the bottom of the page here:

I would be interested in your thoughts. Particularly:

1. Does it need a help file? (I think it is very intuitive, but I could be wrong)

2. Is the branding intrusive? Would you pay/sign up to have it removed?

Any advice, gratefully received.

It can never hurt to have the option there. Yes, it's intuitive but not all people are.

No, I don't find it too intrusive. I've seen the same type on other banner makers. And yes, I would pay to have it removed if I came up with a really nice design and had a bit extra to do so.

But even the free is nice for people to just get something going.

Thanks this is good for people just starting out. I dont think the branding is intrusive at all.

Quite cool and brilliant for those with no design knowledge.

The downsides are it wouldn't reload the new image and clicking the save and get code button did nothing for me. And.. the colour chooser is a bit rusty.. clicking does nothing and the only way to pick a colour is to drag it to the spot but that's quite hard as the circle doesn't follow you as you drag.

To be a contender with online free apps you need to think speed and quality. It lacks quite a bit in both. Again, apart from the actual tool, the finshed banner is very good.

I'm using FF and I don't see what I'm expecting to see. I'm working with the "Direct banner image link" option. Should I be putting my image URL in the "Target URL" field?

Hi - I will complete a help file over the weekend. The Target URL should be where you want the banner to link to. Thanks, Allen

Thanks. Will complete the help file this weekend. The Circled X to the right is the refresh. That part is not clear. Everything else should work. Will cover it this weekend. Thanks, Allen
