my friend got laid off

I am trying to help out a friend who has recently been laid off work. I have shown him how to get affiliate products from clickbank and was trying to find the best place for him to advertise without him having a website. Any ideas would be great. I was looking at ezine advertising but there is a membership fee and well he has very little money. Thank you.

First, I would suggest getting at least a wordpress or blogger blog, as this *is* a website. (Blogs are just a specific type of website) and these can be set up quickly and free.

The advantage to having a website is that you have a place to provide a LOT more information than you do in most advertisements.

It is also someplace people can come back to later and find the same, or new offers.

While there are many free websites available, these two are among the easiest to set up, requiring only limited experience on the part of the 'blogger'.

Next, he needs his products to offer. This you've probably already helped him with.

Then he needs content for the site that will make people care about his recommendation. This means providing information that in the readers' perception has value.

Finally, he needs traffic. A way to get people to his site/blog to see what he has to offer. I'm sure you've already found some methods of getting traffic, but if they are not sufficiently targeted, then it's probably not going to do much. The traffic needs to have some interest in the information and products he has to offer.

It would be a good idea to try to get him set up with an opt in/listbuilding setup as well as early as possible.

I know this is very general, but without knowing more about what he's promoting, I couldn't offer any targeting suggestions that I could be confident would help.

If your friend is in need of money "today", and has very little money to invest, does he have any skills he can sell as a service online? Writing articles is one way he can start making money almost immediately while he learns more about affiliate marketing and other ways to make money online.

The main thing would be to locate a product that is non related to internet marketing. Only 3 percent of online shoppers are internet marketers but most people make that mistake of marketing solely to internet marketers.

First thing would be to start a blog with Word Press or Blogger. Blogger is more simple if your friend is not very technical.

The next step is to create a Squidoo lens on the product or service. use a free keyword tool to like Google adword keyword tool to check some keywords on the product and how many searches it has every month. Then use the keywords in approximately 3 to 5 percent of you content without sounding to competitive.

Link you blog to your Squidoo lense and Vice versa and link both to your products page.

The last step would be to write article on your topic using your keywords as anchor text and link it back to your Squidoo lens.

Submit Your Articles to Ezine Articles, Isnare, Article Marketing Automation, and Free Traffic System.

Tell you friend to look for another job while he or she learns how to conduct an online business.

You don't want to be in a position where as you're trying to earn a living while learning how to conduct online business at the same time.

    Just my opinion.

Here's a link that should help you and your friend...
