How long before I start making Money Online

I have come across this question many times and decided to give a head up especially to Newbies and intermediate marketers.

There is no one answer to this question. You just need to realize that making money online is like running a marathon, not a sprint. It takes a bit of time to make consistent money online like most of the experienced marketers. (Take note I said consistent. Not money this month and none the next).

If you get into the internet marketing game with a mindset of making zero to thousands per month in just a few months you're just going to get frustrated and quit.

Having said that, you can make some seed money online that you can later use to expand on your business online. There are so many places like fiverr, elance, odesk where you can do some work to get paid. Also, you can start out on the warrior forum(a very good place to get a solid foundation) - visit the classified ad section, warriors wanted section - look through the threads and find out what services you think you can offer, start offering those services and get paid.

In the coming year, set goals for yourself. Have a game plan and stick to it. Goals like, I made $30 this month, I have to find a method that will duplicate that, thereby gradually increasing your income. Making money this way is not difficult and as you learn more about the process you'll find opportunities jumping at you. You may not be rich 2-3 years from now, but you will definitely be free to do whatever you want with your life.

I hope that helps

I'd suggest newbies start with something that is free and will make a bit of money quickly, such as WebAnswers or Fiverr. Start off with easy success, then build on it and learn. From Fiverr you could move up to other outsourcing sites, or other related systems, etc.

You will learn more by doing something and improving on that, than by trying to learn the "best" system first. Start simple, keep learning, keep testing everything yourself, ask questions, learn from this forum.

Start small, start easy, and build from there!

WebAnswers absolutely works. After you get past the initial threshold, you will start making money immediately (I say this from experience).

I think to be truly successful - one must have a love/passion for what they are doing...

I notice a lot of people jumping into IM just wanting to get rich/money quick... now not saying getting rich/money isn't a priority but if you truly love IM and keep working at it (i.e love learning about IM) - prosperity/success will find you..

I see lot's of people who are just "too money driven" and all they care about is getting rich.... C'mon guys - wake up, life isn't all about money.. (I know we all have money problems in this poor economy)

As for me - I think I truly love the field and I'm very interested in learning more.. If only everyone had the same views as me - we would all be happier (because that's what life is about, isn't it? - to live happily)

I have made my most consistent money through the eBay Affiliate Network. I started out using the BANS program a few years ago and have evolved into using WordPress and PHPBay Pro. It isn't a killing but I don't put a whole lot of effort into those few sites and they make me about $100 bucks a month. It is a little extra spending cash but now I am ready to move onto something that might make more money consistently.

I Think its a silly question to ask.

The question to really sit down and ask is "how long till I am going to get off my lazy ass and put what I read into action until I see results"

If you want it bad enough, you will not eat, sleep or get distracted till it comes.

  • I find that chunking it down into easy goals helps. For example, start off by focusing on earning just $5 a day. It doesn't matter if it takes you 6 months to get there, but once you can do this consistently, then move to $10 per day, then to $20 per day etc. etc. You will eventually just scale things up and will be amazed when you start hitting $200 a days.

Instead of focusing on making money, first focus on what you know how to do and then figure out how you can monetize it. If you don't like doing what you are doing you aren't going to stick to it. Granted, some people just love making money and for them they can do just about anything that will generate the cash. But for most people the pieces of green paper aren't enough. They have to have a passion, a drive, a goal, to keep them moving forward.

It all depends on you. How many Blog posts do you have up? Are you consistently taking action? Posting to your Blog consistently, posting articles consistently, posting to some web 2.0 sites frequently will help the process to happen fast. But maybe not tomorrow.

Providing value also helps. Get some private label rights products and give some eBooks away instead of selling them. Don't try to make a sale, try to help someone solve a problem. If you have built a list, write an article helping them, instead of pounding them with affiliate links.

Treat it like a part time job if you want or full time if your in the position to do so. Make yourself a schedule. Punch in and out mentally and set the times and days, just like you would have at a job, and stick to it.

A good start to getting close to making money and most likely making money is to:

    -Take action consistently

-Have at least 10 or more articles published at Ezine articles. At the least if not a few at a couple other article directories.

-Have at least 20-30 Blog posts published

_Have a few posts on Web 2.0 platforms. (wordpress.com)

Maybe some Soical Media marketing in between and you should be very close to making money, if you have really done some tight keyword research and on site seo. (Search Engine Optimization). Have every blog post link to another page on you blog.

Don't let your mind play games with you. Than villain inside that is against anything that isn't the status quo. It will happen.

I like how one of my mentors put it. "Most people quit, right when they were about to make money."

If you got the money for it, you could a PPC campaign, drive people straight to your sales letter page, and get sales that way... of course depending on your niche, product, and price.

Or you can build an email list and start collecting leads. I've gotten sales from as little as 10 subscribers. It all depends on the angle you want to take, and then keep doing it like a mad man - assuming you're making sales and profits.
