Getting affiliates to promote my product over the competition's

Hey Everyone!

I'm new to this forum but I've been dabbling in IM for a few months now. Currently, I'm planning to release an ebook in my specific health niche. I have all the research and already have the foundation of a great, helpful ebook. However, when doing competition research, I saw that all the affiliates in my niche were promoting the same ebook. It's not like the market is overly saturated but almost all affiliates are all already promoting this one other, time-tested ebook. Even though my product will be just as good (I'm biased, I know ) or even better than my competition's, it seems like it would be hard for me to wrestle my way into the niche.

Would you suggest I still write and release my ebook? If so, how do I convince affiliates (especially the successful ones in my niche) to promote my ebook instead of (or in addition to) my 'already established' competition's?

Consider giving the affliates the maximum commission fee, and also further incentives when volume targets are being met.

Provide your affiliates with better tools than your competitors. More banners, and web copy for solo ads, twitter tweets, etc.

Run free affiliate training sessions on a regular basis.

The answer is simple. Make it so all those affiliates will make money promoting your ebook. It is not just about the quality of the product.

The affiliates care more about things like conversion rates, commission percentages, and refund rates.

If an affiliate can make more money promoting your ebook, then that is what they will do.

He's right......figure out how much the good affiliates are making on the other product, then make sure that not only can they make more on your's, but do so easier with better tools....

Maybe offer free content that they can use for promotion.....you know how much good content is valued...

If your using clickbank give them 75% Commission, Maybe implement an upsell for a chance to make more cash?
Give them good affiliate resources for them to use such as banners, pre written email's,Pre Written adverts etc.
but don't let them get instant access to all of this build your list of affiliates for the future.

This is exactly right. They promote affiliate products to make money. If they can make more money promoting your product, they will be your affiliate.

Getting super-affiliates to give you the time of day, however, is one of the biggest challenges a new ClickBank vendor faces. Although I cover this in my ClickBank vendor startup guide, most vendors have no idea what to say to potential affiliates!

It's something you can learn on your own over time, if you are willing to engage in the requisite trial and error. I think a lot of people simply give up along the way.

If it's your first project you might want to consider giving 100% commissions especially if it is a lower priced product. You'll build a list of proven buyers and have a lifetime to market to them.

When is the last time you saw a bookshelf with only one book?

Most affiliates that are worth a crap already complain incessantly that there simply are not enough quality products to promote. Once you sell someone a book, you're probably not selling them another copy of the same book. You have to sell them something else.

You could always advertise for affiilates. Also, provide them with the marketing materials needed to sell your product. Examples of what to provide your affiliates with can be found in the Paydotcom.com free membership website.
