Stupid question about CNN Backlinks

Ok, so I have a pretty stupid question about some links im creating on CNN. My strategy is to write funny fake news stories like the one below and post them in the open forum of CNN's IReport platform. My question is, do these links provide any SEO Value considering the articles arent posted on pages that have PR... Does the fact that its on an authority site with an overall pr of 9/10 give me any SEO value? Just curious. Thanks for your help.

    Fake news stories? CNN's iReports are just about the only thing that I like about CNN. Why do you think the audience will appreciate fake news?

      I didnt really write them for their audience, just for the backlinks.

      Most of the articles i write make fun of Liberals so im suprised they havent banned me from their platform lol... I wrote one about Obamas Dog today and they did delete that one twice... Damn censoring! Just a bunch of Obama Cronies!

    IT is an interesting point though, would this be a good link project? I think if you put too many 'fake' stories up they might just ban you, unless they are so unimportant as to be not worthwhile investigating to see if they are accurate or not. Keep us posted if you continue...

      I will keep everyone posted, I have noticed that the stories get indexed within minutes after posting them and show up in Google search on several keywords. My real goal is to have one of the stories go Viral and get a lot of attention from that.
