Socialbookmarking Doubts

Hi. I have a lil doubt on bookmarking my content. My doubt is do i have to everytime bookmark my site whenever i post a new article on the blog or it is automatically get indexed whenever i post a new article. For example i had created content A and i digged it. So i added new content B. So should i also digg the content B on the bookmark sites. Cheers.

I use bookmarking for these purposes:

    1. Bookmark good articles/sites/content on high quality social sites to attract visitors (and improve rankings).
    2. Blast bookmarks to thousands of lower quality bookmarking sites to massively boost rankings (been putting my pages on page one with this for months now).

Your pages should get crawled and indexed without any bookmarking.

Agree with point 1, but I ensure that my bookmarking is random in nature.

Haven't tried or heard about massive ranking boosts from blasting low quality bookmarking sites(Pligg?). Would be interested to hear from others who have?

I've had success getting nice ranking boosts from blasting to low quality Pligg sites. For example, I've had sites on that were on page two of Google for a while, did a few Pligg blasts, and they jump to the first page sometimes in a couple days. The only problem is a lot of these Pligg sites eventually get spammed to hell and you loose the backlinks.. so you have to keep on finding new working Pligg sites which can be a pain.

"Pligg is an open source CMS (Content Management System) that you can download and use for free. Pligg CMS provides social publishing software that encourages visitors to register on your website so that they can submit content and connect with other users."

              Im yet to use it

Put maybe 300 sites on page one doing it. It won't get you to #1 (in most cases anyway), but it definitely works.

Thanks for talking about Pligg! I'm going to be using it for my own stuff - one of my clients will be very happy to hear about a low ranking bookmarking service, he's ALL about the quantity.

Please don't believe everything you read here! Social bookmarking can definitely help your site if you do it right, but it can equally well harm your site if you get it wrong.

The search engines are getting more sophisticated every day in their desire to detect backlinking, and they will penalise it as much as they can, when they find it, so natural-looking backlinking is essential. Unfortunately, there are people here giving out-dated or just plain wrong advice on backlinking, so be warned.

If you want to know complete details of how to do backlinking effectively, why not read my free 26-page backlinking guide . . .

Uniquely Natural Social Bookmarking Service - FREE downloads

Even experienced IM'ers here are saying that they learn things they didn't know, from my guide, so why not have a read?

    Hope that helps
