Hi everybody. I came across an article that said video traffic will increase substantially next year. I promote health products and have a feeling this will increase income. How do I start?

Thanks

One way to start is to use a program called Animoto.

It is free and a good stepping stone to begin video marketing with.

You can always make use of Youtube by creating a slide show or video clips of the product you'd like to promote, upload it in youtube, and then promote it. It's all up to you on how you can do this creatively where people would be interested or entice to watch your video. I would also suggest, you include testimonials of people who used your product for a more realistic and encouraging.

Original videos always brings more traffic and views. By that I mean, being in front of the camera and reviewing the product (or at least showing the slides and having your voice over).

This tells people, that you are real person and the trust (as well as conversions) will increase.

But if you don't have an opportunity (or time) to do the above, then animoto is a great choice too.

If you're running Windows, try using Microsoft Movie Maker.

What I tend to do is create a slideshow using PowerPoint, and save the slideshow as jpg files, so each slide has an image file saved as a jpg, and then import these into Movie Maker.

You can then add an audio track in the background - it could be a voiceover, or it could be music, whatever you have.

      Hope this helps.

Animoto is decent. There's also Windows Movie Maker. But I would start the production of each video by deciding things like what keywords I am targeting, what my video will say, etc. A little planning goes a long way.

        Absolutely Jon!

I've got a collection of MP3 audio articles which I seem to have been collecting since the year dot, and I use these as the basis for some of my video articles, and then base the keywords around their content.

YouTube is a great way to market as it is the second largest search engine in the world and has a larger audience than the 3 major American TV networks.

As Raimundus said, doing videos with yourself in front of the camera does give you credibility and helps people connect with you.

Video is easy to shoot. Most point and shoot cameras have video now and many smart phones. The Kodak Playsport is a phone-sized video camera that shoots HD and is good to 3 meters depth of water and sells for about $120. Some friends of our shot some amazing HD underwater video of sea turtles using it.

It takes some practice to get comfortable in front of the camera, but it is well worth it. Set aside a block of time each week to plan, create and upload videos and you will get better at it soon.

I would suggest you either learn Sony Vegas or purchase a high quality video editor before entering this market. These suggestions come from a lot of past experience and would really suggest you start marketing with high quality and enjoyable video right away.

How do you eat an elephant? Small bites.

You have to break it down into a basic plan.

      1. Video production - writing good copy, and producing a quality video.
      2. Video Hosting Youtube vs. Hosted - Pros and Cons
      3. Video SEO how to correctly SEO your video on youtube or on a hosted page.
      4. Video traffic. - Finding great ways of getting traffic.

      1. Most people saying to use Animoto are on step 1. Video production. There are several ways you can go on production.

You can go with Animoto. You can create slideshow videos. You can grab a camera and start talking. Go with what ever you are most comfortable and technologically savvy with and start with that. Then build on it.

If you have the budget and don't have the time or skill. Hire someone hit up fiverr or a video provider on the forum to create your video for you.

      2. Start off with youtube, its easy and you can work it for alot of traffic. Later you may want to look into dedicated hosting for a variety of reasons.

      3. Tons of great info on this forum on how to SEO your video to maximize your youtube rankings. Again if you have more money than time/tech savvy, farm it out.

      4. Is the big issue. You can start with organic traffic, or paid traffic. There are some good ebooks on the forum and some good wso's out there for building traffic.

I would take some time to check out ReelSEO: The Online Video Guide for Video Marketers & Producers They have tons of great articles that can help you get started. But don't spend all day there reading, just find the articles that help with your current step in the plan and then come back and read more when it's time for the next step. Good luck!
