Allowable percentage of content

Hi,
I realize that this is a legal question but I have searched the forum and the internet and cannot get an answer to this question. When submitting a new article to my website that was written from someone I hired I usually check it in copy scape to ensure it is not duplicate content. Not only it is potentialy bad for search rankings but there's always copyright issues. is there a percentage it has to be under in order to be considered viable? 20% or less? 10% or less? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

If you've hired someone to write it for you it should be 100% unique. There should be no copyscape issues at all.

If you hired someone and they gave you an article that doesn't pass copyscape... fire them!

You'd probably be better off writing the articles yourself. It doesn't take long to do it. How many articles are you posting to your website everyday?
