I'm surrounded by freebie seekers - help!
I've pampered the little lists that I've built, and I'm extremely happy that I could help people out, but I need something in return.
I've come to the conclusion, that just because a group of people have a problem that they are desperately trying to solve, does not mean always that they will spend money to solve it (seriously shocking). They will probably find some way of talking themselves out of it even though they know it could help.
I know that people don't want to be sold. They want help. However, I've come to the conclusion that it would be far more lucrative to build a business and attract a crowd of people who almost EXPECT to buy things or pay for information. That's obvious, but I thought that was what I was doing - I was wrong apparently.
So anyway, am I misleading myself into believing that it would be a better idea to build a list this way?
It's really weird to get personal emails from your list like "you are helping me tremendously" or "I love the new video" or "thank you for taking such a personal interest in me".... but they don't buy anything.
So how do you identify "buyers" or a "buyers market" and then reach them?
