Weird stuff.. PR3 for 2 days old domain

Hey everyone,

so I saw this first in Market Samurai, the Page Rank for one of the domains I bought literally 2 days ago is now page rank 3, what the heck?

I also checked on Google PageRank Checker - Check Google page rank instantly

It's probably some kind of glitch I guess? Anyone else having this kind of experience?

Was it a PR3 before you bought it? i.e. it might have belonged to somebody else before ... if so you've got a bargain ....

I just went to Namecheap and bought it straight from there.

I also checked on Domain Stats Tool and it says domain age 10 months old, which means someone else had it before me?

So PR stays with the domain even if the owner completely ditched it and someone else grabs it for $9?

It could be a glitch, or it could be that it has been bought before now.

It depends on the time frame of how long it has been available, if it is a while, google will remove the PR as it looks like the website has been down. In a short time, it will stay as Google allows for servers being down to a certain extent.

Often people will redirect unused domains to sites with a higher PR which can transfer PR to the redirected domain, Google will likely re-adjust it at some point in the foreseeable future.
