Multiple Paypal Business Accounts?

Sorry if this question's been answered elsewhere. If so, couldn't find it!

Paypal states that each user is allowed one personal account and one business account.

Is there any way to get two business accounts if you have two businesses (separate bank accounts, email addresses etc.) ?

Thanks!

PayPal will tell you no. Those who have multiple accounts will tell you something else.

George Wright, PS, you are on the right track. Add to what you said, another name and tax ID number.

You can get more, I have 5 biz accounts. Each one will require a new bank account.

I believe you can open an account as long as it has its own email address and financial information. You can also upgrade your Personal account to a Premier or Business account.

    I hope that helps.

    Thanks to all who responded!

JP, I already have one business account and one personal account. Wondering how to upgrade the personal account to a premiere account if I already have another business account?

    Thanks again!

Honestly, if the TOS say you can only have one personal and one business account, I would think long and hard before exceeding that. Paypal can be pretty quick on the trigger when it comes to freezing accounts and holding funds.

I have several Paypal business accounts set-up under two different companies, but its getting a little more problematic now since a bank account with the name of the business account is no longer sufficient.

You actually have to produce the company docs for each account, (or at least they are asking me for this info but I am not based in the US), so I am just waiting for the problems with them to start.

You don't have to search a lot on the Internet to know that once the problems start it only gets worse...

So...maybe the question becomes...what are the alternatives to PayPal?

I have 3 business accounts so don't worry, if they're seperate businesses they can hardly make you use one account as it would be a nightmare for tax purposes and keeping payments and income separate for different businesses.
