I purchased an autoblog but it has 94 pages with someone elses amazon id. Is there a fast way to change the id...maybe a wp plugin or a find and replace option???

There is a find and replace wordpress plugin, but I can't think of it off the top of my head (could be the one in the following blog)

There's also a blogpost here with an alternative idea
How to Perform Mass Search and Replace in Wordpress

ask who you purchased from. It may be one file to edit.

Amazon Affiliate Link Localizer by Pete Williams might be a good option.

It allows you to just provide your Amazon associates ID and automatically puts your own cookie into the links when they're clicked on.

    Hope that helps.

I noticed in recent auto posts the software put in 3dxxxx-xx as part of the amazon id (meaning the 3d part)....whereas when I grab my code off amazon there is no 3d. The autoblog software is wp-robot. I am a bit paranoid that the seller could be doing something underhanded. There is no reason for the distrust just my nature...so I am concerned about the 3d...is there a reason to be? Those links work but there is no way I can tell if they are using my real code. I need to add the seller put my code into the software.

I would download the data base, if it is a Wordpress site, and do a search and replace to the file.

If it is HTML, then get a copy of Multireplace and load all the files in the software and put the current code in the slot to be replaced, and your code in the code to be replaced with. It is a free program and will change text in a stack of text files in one go. I linked the name to the download page.

I wonder how many people buy autoblogs or any site for that matter and forget to change codes or do it wrong. I can even see this can be a strategy for site sellers to hope people don't change codes and the previous owner continues to make money.

that's NOT a strategy, that's called taking a f**king chance and to be honest, the people who run autoblogs probably rely on this mickey mouse crap all the time anyway.

You people always thing the worst. I sell high quality Amazon Affiliate sites and when I build the sites I always use a generic id like "yourid-20". If you put amazon widgets or banners you have to use a legit id. I show my customers how to change their id's.
