Paypal Options for Chargeback

I was just thinking this, need advice from all friends on WF

Is sending a Invoice for getting payment will be the good alternative in Paypal then rather getting the payment directly from the customers or both will be the same thing, this is in respect to various Chargebacks I heard on the forum happened with lots of fellow warriors.

Just a discussion, What you all think?

I like to do invoices just for my and their records. Not sure it makes any difference from a chargeback standpoint, however.

Both will be the same. You just have to try to work with people that you trust won't chargeback. It happens, just have to push on.

Protect yourself, get a real merchant account. Paypal sucks with chargebacks, I'm about 50/50 with them on chargebacks, whereas a merchant account I probably have won 90%?

The really crappy thing is even if you dispute a chargeback and WIN with paypal, you're still waiting 90 days to get the payment back lol.

If you're set on using paypal to process payments, you need to protect yourself and send a receipt, or copy or the product to the shipping address provided when they pay. That way you have a tracking number and are eligible for seller protection even if it is an intangible product. Doesn't work if you end up losing, but it buys you time if paypal is your bank lol.

For the payment option, the two ways send invoice to customer then get paid or get paid by the direct paypal payment is same effect.I think it is no matter with the chargeback.Even though you respect the customer and send the invoice to them for the payment. But if the customer is dissatisfied with the products or service, and you didn't resolve the issueing problem well.It is the reason you get the chargeback alert.
If you want to reduce the chargeback rate, just collect all the proof for the payment, shipping info , product photo, package photo and signed paper etc.Once you meet the situation, you can submit all the beneficial proof to paypal for investigation.

You know the only real way I have not had a great deal of chargebacks is by sending a physical copy of something with a confirmation on the postage. I have several business which really don't require that though, such as buyagig. I can usually tell though when someone is about to shaft me. Usually one signs up as a buyer and the other as a seller and then they think there smart and wait a day or two for a transaction. If I suspect this as soon as they buy I will send a confirmation letter out in the mail. This way when paypal wants to see if they received anything I can show them the confirmation tracking for the usps.

Hope this helps some of you.
