So, hey.. I'm pretty new to this forum. I have been reading Warrior Forum but only signed up yesterday. My apologies if this is in the wrong place.

After owning a few websites that ended up unsuccessfully losing traffic, I purchased one of those brand new template review websites for a popular children's toy. With a few unique articles, an exact-keyword domain, and a little bit of backlinking I started getting traffic, approximately 50 users a day. A few days later, I added a new article and also purchased a backlink service form here that's currently in progress. My traffic dropped to about 25 users a day (about half are repeat visitors). Is there anything I should be doing differently to increase traffic or let it naturally expand? Am I doing okay to start earning money soon?

Thanks in advance,
Dave

P.S. I plan on monetizing it with Amazon and Chitika.

Are you tracking the rankings of your pages for any keywords? It may be dancing from the links built.

Yep, they are mostly long-tail keywords but it seems like there's more keywords, not less. Anyhow, I didn't even think about watching keywords. I'm not sure how to track rankings for individuals pages, but I'll go take a look into that now. Thanks for the insight!

I'll have to see if I can give you a link that's viral. It's free and I don't get paid for sharing it with you, it's just that I haven't found out yet if I can list it here on the WF.

Yeah, start tracking your rankings. You can use a program to do it, like Rank Tracker, Traffic Travis or Market Samurai or use a free online tool like SEOcentro. Since you just started building more backlinks, your initial loss in traffic is probably your site doing the "Google Dance". It should bounce back. You should also be building links manually in the meantime, like posting to web 2.0 sites, updating your social media accounts daily, bookmarking, and the like.
