Responding to my list through AWeber...

I have setup my website/blog about toddlers and submitted just a few articles to Ezine. I didn't really think that people would sign up so quick, since I don't have that much content yet. Well, I was wrong and I'm getting emails that people have signed up. Now I am a bit worried about setting up my messages in Aweber. So far, this is what I have...
  1. Thank you message - it goes out immediately
  2. 1 day later - their free gift (an ebook on kid recipes) they can download
I know that isn't much but I'm stuck on the next one and then the others....how many days space and what do I put there? I was thinking the next one should go out the next day with an article and clickbank product. Then I would wait 2 days and just send out info on another topic but no products. I'm just not sure about constantly sending items for sale, I know that would turn me off.

Is there somewhere that guides you on auto-responding in any niche? At some point I assume I would go to weekly? AWeber suggests eventually monthly, which I thought was too long.

How often do you send out messages to your list? Any guidance is appreciated! Thanks!

In my personal method, I teach them something really good every day-- something:

    1. Useful
    2. They have not heard before
    3. They could never learn from anyone but me

    Have fun with it.

Consistency sets their expectation. You can send when ever you want. I'd forget selling until you build a loyal following.

You could start off at sending really good info out every week. Say Tuesday at 6 am. That way you train your followers to expect a great piece of content every Tuesday. If you think you're sending crap one day, then skip that day and send something really good the next Tuesday.

About selling. From the get go you could lay a link to something your selling. Don't mention anything about, just a link or an image. This way your followers know your in business, but your not pushing to sell them, YET.

Lets say down the road you have 500 subscribers (number doesn't matter), you start to pre frame them for your offer. The offer would be a special, just for those on your list. Make it personal.

I'd setup an autoresponder for this, instead of sending individually.

    1. Build trust
    2. Lay your link low
    3. Strike when the time is right

Plus, everything you send has to be your best, everything.
