Today someone paid me $10 through Paypal for a work I had completed. After just about 10 minutes I recieved an email from paypal. Here is the email:

additional information about PayPal payments.

We need more information about this transaction. Please log in to your
PayPal account, click the "Resolution Centre" tab, and provide more
information by 08/01/2012.

We recommend that you do not post the item until our investigation is
complete. If you've already posted the item, please log in and let us know
where you posted it.

We have placed a temporary hold on the funds until we complete our
investigation.

If you need to provide information by fax, click and print a cover sheet:

Please fax proof of postage or proof of refund to +1-402-537-5760.

What do I need to do? The person says he has not disputed the payment.

Was this an online service? Call paypal and tell them it was an online service and they will instantly fund this back to your account. Intangible items are not covered under buyer protection and paypal will always favor the seller in this circumstance.

I had done some link building for the client. How do I show that to paypal.

I get these sometimes, and I imagine everyone does. Just click on the link follow the steps to provide the information (which I imagine you did before posting here), and it will be cleared-up within a couple of business days (just to re-assure you).

FYI: That's not a buyer complaint. PayPal randomly does that. Hard to win them.

Just provide them all the details you have. Buyers IP if possible and let PayPal know it was for a digital item.
