How is this site making money?

Hey WF members. Happy new years to all

I was on facebook the other day and came across this link on a few of my friends page and decided to check it out..

It apparently takes you to a site that looks just like facebook with a video to be played.

Once you hit the play, it tells you to share the video to watch it. This thing went viral fast...

The site is NickiMinajTape(dot)info (I dont want to give them any link juice)

I want to know how can they possibly make money with this setup. I get the feeling it may be a bit deceiving but it can be used for good.

I phoned a friend who shared it and she said they never showed her the video; if that helps any.

Thanks for you input..
Dennis

Is there adsense on the site? It could possibly be using a similar setup like Razzi.me where every view the picture gets you get paid only this is a video instead of a picture:confused:

    Hey Dennis,

Eventually the owner of the website is going to use CPA networks like InstantDollarz (IDzMedia). They will install a content unlocker on the website. After the website is getting a lot of traffic, the person will put it on for a few days, make more money in those days than most would make in one month or possibly one year then remove the CPA offer and potentially the entire website before anyone (including whoever is managing Niki's image online). I believe the owner is just waiting for it to go really viral. This kind of gimmick can get pretty big pretty fast and it is no where near the potential it can be at.

Basically the website tricks a lot of people on Facebook into thinking there is a video when in reality there is not.

It is smart. However, it is deceptive. Definitely not whitehat.

Note: The method I described above is just one of many methods that these kinds of marketers can use. Some techniques are much more mischievous than others.

No.. I really wanted to know how they were making money.. I'm not into speeding viruses.. I should have stated in the first post not to try to play the video.

I just wanted someone to analyze it for me.. I knew they were making money.. Just didn't know how..

no its not auto like script but like button is given on top of video and you have no other option if someone stay on site and see that video than chance are people could click on like button...its just probability ..and this is what we can see with current available information given on website.

It's a basic Facebook Viral Script method. Pretend theres a video, share to play. Facebook virals, promotions with CPA.

Make easily 10,000$/month with these types of websites. I've used them before, and quite lucrative, especially when your lucky. Facebook is a social media giant, it's really powerful.

I remember clicking a link in Facebook just like that but it requires me to share it before viewing. I didn't waste my time and just close it. I think it is not a good scheme. yeah, it can give you lots of traffic in an instant but a business like that won't last long especially if you are pissing off lots of people.

I guess you need to enter your email or friends email somewhere in the process of sharing, he is probably capturing that
