Does anyone want a million dollar idea for FREE ?

reading some of the posts here it seems that some people are actually still looking for a million dollar deal for FREE.
What i hear people say is If only I could just come up with one great idea all my problems will be solved.
I am 62 years old and spent a long time looking for that one idea then it dawned on me that there is a much better more viable alternative and here it is for FREE
Take something ordinary and do it better than the next chap
This wioll almost certainly produce a far better result than sitting around tryingto dream up a new inovative million dollar idea.

I can tell you that I am doing well selling on the Intenet BUT IF the Internet had been around 30 years ago when I was a young fit and rampant bull I would now be a Zillionaire.

For those of you strating out Its all before you and theirv are so many oportunitys here to make money and have fun. All you have to do is work hard and do something ordinary Just do it better than the next chap

"Do it better than the next chap" lol, love it; but you shouldn't advise people to be "normal" IMO -- just don't sit around forever waiting for the brilliant new idea. You'll either come up with one naturally or never will.

        Well then, here you go:

        Cancer cure.
        Baldness cure.
        Cheap, powerful electric car.
        Cheap water desalinization process.
Low cost high efficiency solar panels.
        Wireless electricity transmission.

I could go on, but I bet you get the idea- you want a million dollar business get into a multi-million dollar market- you want a billion dollar idea get into a multi-billion dollar market.

Same principle applies as what the OP said- find something and make an incremental but significant improvement and you're set.

        ROFL!

        Great advice here.

However I must admit that there are tons of million dollar ideas out there.

The really tricky part here is can you execute? Do you have what it takes to build the idea into a sustainable business?

And the better widget doesn't always win. The best marketed widget frequently does.

Its best when you can do both at the same time!

Of course you want to do better than everyone else, but what if you were involved with a new great company too! Its like killing two birds with one stone. I love it!

I'm not sure how many people have heard of Harvey Brody, but years before the Internet was even thought of, he discovered one of the best million dollar ideas ever conceived. Not that he was the only one that came up with this idea, but he certainly perfected it.

If anyone is interested, I have uploaded a pdf file of an interview given by Mr.Brody. (No affiliate links because there are no affiliate products and nothing required, just a .pdf download file about 81Kb in size - about a 36 page read, in all)

If anyone is interested, you can dowload the file here:

    http://renfrewcountyphotos.com/brody/harveybrody.pdf

I'll leave the brochure up for a few days then will remove it, as I need the server space for other stuff.

    This is well worth reading.

The skills is to put those million dollar ideas to action. And make them reality. But to be really honest, let's not fool ourselves, it's not easy to become millionaire from scratch, but it is possible. Excessive thinking out-of-the-box is where it's at.

Hi Arthur we may be realted as grumpyb's real name is Peter Rose
I think the main ingredient is to THINK YOU CAN
abilty does of course play a part and i agree that thinking outside the box also is an essential part of it BUT
    Same product better price or
    Same product faster delivery or
    Same product Personal service or
same product better after sales service

    these will also reap rewards

I have just thanked one of my main competitors because he has put in a 1300 number which has the press 1 press 5 thing on it.
He has just given me another edge as we answer our telephone with humans not machines.

Just do it better than the next man and remain focused

Priceless words of wisdom right there grumpyb.

I am also guilty of 'trying to re-invent the wheel' so to speak... It's fun, but risky.

I have also found that doing what you said works much better.

Thanks very much for sharing your thoughts with the group.

Oh, so that's what Ralph meant when he said:
"Do not follow where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. -Ralph Waldo Emerson"

I guess the trail would be "better than the other" trails.
    Or something like that. lol
