What to do if my website is "banned" by Google? How to run online business without Google?

I'm planning on building a website (content website) monetized with AdSense and/or other methods, and also with an opt-in (building list).

But I'm often hearing that it's so easy to get your business "killed" by Google (get AdSense/AdWords account banned, website de-indexed, etc.)

I hear it's simple as simple as that if a competitor builds bad links to your website, or complains your website several times to Google, you could be banned by Google.

I hear it so much that I have nearly a Google-phobia!

But what should I do if my website is banned by Google?

How to still generate a lot of traffic if being de-indexed/banned by Google?

How to run my business without Google or Google-like "web authority"?

  • 1st, it is ridiculous to worry about getting banned. Starting with fear as your 1st thought is a recipe for disaster.

Anyway, the answer to your question is to start multiple websites. DO NOT put all your eggs in one basket. I started with 5 sites in 5 niches. Four were duds, one made money. I scrapped the four that didnt make money and started four more, eliminating the duds.

Not all sites, nor all monetization methods, nor all marketing methods work in every niche.

    Test, fail, succeed. Test, again.

Competitors do not have any control over your website, even reporting you, which means nothing if you are not doing anything illegal or that violates their webmaster guidelines.

Just stay compliant with all of Google's Terms of Service (TOS) requirements and you will do fine. Build real sites with real content for real people - not spammy or "made for AdSense" sites that only exist to satisfy bots and serve up advertisements.

Monetize your sites using several methods, not just AdSense.

Build an honest business and market it in an ethical fashion, and you will have nothing to fear from Google or anyone else.

    Happy Holidays

    I do agree with you,

in my sense, it's not too easy to get banned by Google.

But what should I do if my online business is "killed" by Google?

I mean something like a Plan-B... but how?

Dude! A website is not a business!

You havent even started working on Plan A and you are worried about Plan B? You are not going to succeed long enough to get banned if this is how you are going to start.

I don't like the idea of "creating a bunch of sites" you will get overwhelmed and lose concentration, you can do it but you need alot of time to create quality content, you don't want to build 5 websites with 10 pages or 20 pages each, sooner or later Google is going to take down these affiliate / adsense sites and put them at the bottom of the search engine, create one site and work hard to make it an Authority site.

They tell you not to put all your eggs in one basket, but if you create many sites then you wont have alot of time to dedicate for each and when Google look at your sites, they will slap all of them so here you go.. you lost all of them, the key is to create quality content so the visitors stay on your site and come back for more.

As for Google ban, I wouldn't worry about it that much, I had alot of sites and some of them have adsense but not generating money, I never touch them or work on them since I realized having too many sites won't get me anywhere..but the sites never got banned.

Who said that Google is the only the internet marketing platform , why you bother to use Email Marketing and Video Marketing together to make boom in your niche , You know Email Marketing is the biggest ROI ever.

    @Charles Washington:
    I have plan A

But I thought to have a plan B is always good to have,

And make the plan A and B somewhat integrated.

I have just asked for recommendations/ideas from other WF members,

    And thanks for your sharings!
