What is the best skills to learn to make money out of thin air?

Maybe this is a wrong category to post this thread.

I have never lived as homeless on street, thus I can't emphatize enough how is it...

But if I were homeless and jobless, haven't any formal education or profession, and haven't any network (familiy or whatever) to help me in anyway, living on the street,

then I think the best asset I would have is a skill that I could use to make money from thin air.

I know it's very individual, and everyone can'y develop every skill. Some are tech savy, others have verbal skills, some are ninjas etc. (e.g. I'm a little math-guy and tech savy)

But I just want to hear (I mean read) your opinions:

What do you think is the best and most evergreen skill to learn to make money out of thin air?

I mean what skill would you like to have had to make money IF you were homeless, totally bankrupt, and living on the street?

I think the best skill to learn is to be able to communicate clearly with others. You may have the best idea in the world, but if you cannot communicate it correctly it can go unheard.

This + persuasion on a sales page selling a good product.

Patience and not being flakey. You need to be able to stick with a method for a while, actually work on it everyday, and keep at it even if you do not see results after 1 week.

The number one skill being used to create money out of thin air online is Copywriting. The next skill is traffic generation. There are tons of different options to build your skill set in that area. The next skill would be list building. Building converting squeeze pages. A combo of all three plus selling abilities would be building complex funnels with upsells. If I was a bum on the street I would stay at the library learning copywriting and one method of free traffic generation to bring traffic to a squeeze. I would recycle for the money to pay my $10 a year domain cost, $10 a month hosting and $19 a month aweber. I would just keep putting in work on that one site to build up a sizeble list and do affiliate marketing.

You need to offer value to the person - you are helping them solve a problem they have.
When you can communicate well and connect with people in your niche, you will make money. Also, learn and expand your skills so you stay ahead of the curve.

If you have an expertise or knowledge that solves a problem for someone than you can probably sell it without too much effort. You just need to know where and who you can sell it to!

    Learn How To Sell.

If you can sell, you don't need anything else other than a product or service to offer to others--you don't need a computer, a distribution network, anything.

I have to agree on this. Selling has huge impacts on anything you do in life. This could be anything from marketing, buying a car, applying for jobs and/or promotions, etc. You don't have to be on the selling end to be good at selling, because if you are good at selling you know how to defend against it, and counter it.

When you do this, make sure you add real value. Take your prospect into mind before the potential money you are about to earn. Work on quality information, this will make people stick and come back for more.

Definitely sales/copywriting. It doesn't really matter what marketing method you use, you still have to sell the customer on your offer/product.

I agree that copywriting/sales skills could be the best skill to have.

But people are different in terms of native inborn skills.

Some have more verbal inborn skills, hvile others have more technical, social, physical, visual or other native inborn skills.

E.g. personally, maybe I'm more of a numbers-guy than a verbal-guy. (So maybe I should start learning programming or...?)

There are a lot of skills that would make you money out of thin air. E.g. a man gets job offers as radio speaker just because he had a great voice and speaking, according to the video below:

Some say 'Copy writing', others say 'Selling'. Look inside yourself. Don't look for what you would like to do, look for something that you would like doing. Life is too short to spend time doing what you really do not like doing. So I guess those who suggest 'Copy writing' or 'Selling', or whatever, are telling you that is something they would enjoy doing to earn money! So ask yourself (1) what would you enjoy doing? And of the things that you would enjoy doing, which could earn money? Because if you enjoy it, you will be far better at doing that, and be happy to continue doing that!

For me there is a big problem how you formulated your initial question: "money out of thin air"...

Put in this way it suggests everybody is a scammer, nobody offers real value, the buyers part with their money in exchange for nothing ("thin air"). If you see this business in this way - the only 'skill' you need is to be a crook

I have used "out of thin air" as a metaphor, but maybe I have used a wrong methapor.

By "out of thin air", I mean if you were like Ted Williams ('radio voice' man) or even in worse situation,

also without any house, pc, website, lapop or anything, and you need to make money to live a good living

and the only asset you then have is a skill you can use to make money almost immediately.

And the question is about what this skill you would like to have had in this nightmare situation?

Take stock of the things that you're already good at and find people who need the services that you can render using the skills you already possess. Also, two things: communicating your ideas effectively and selling. I'm just reiterating what others have already said. However, you need to be good at selling and communicating when you offer your services, especially when the competition is quite stiff.

While I agree with copywriting/salesmanship in general, this is still a skill you need to master in months or years. When you have mastered it, no matter what circumstances you find yourself in, you will not have money problems.

However, if you are already in a bad situation, but don't have any skills including salesmanship/copywriting, I would suggest becoming a JV broker. That's what I am focused on right now. And it does not require any complicated skills.

Or just become an apprentice to any copywriter/salesman or JV broker you can find... Do some of the heavy lifting for them, work for free or food/shelter if need be, or whatever, but help some master in the art you want to become a master yourself someday, and it will pay you dearly for your life.

Being a jv broker means you need marketing, communication, salesmanship, copywriting, and, accounting skills. Didn't we mention networking, persuasion already? You said what is already here. You just gave it a title.

P.S. On top of that this thread was written in january.

Well...I use to make money twisting balloons which literally made money from "thin air". You'd be surprised at how much you can make in an afternoon at a fair or other busy area. If I were homeless I'd probably give it a try.

However, now I prefer putting words on an empty page of paper. Less loud popping noises.

Thin air is a very abstract and empty term.

Try selling cans or boxes with an invisible but warm tropical air.

I'm surprised everyone has missed the obvious answer so far. The best way to make money from thin air is to do what undocumented immigrants do. They find things most people don't like to do - and make money doing it. And they make money without studying copywriting, sales training manuals or a need to have a P.C at all.

Hint: People these days (even teens) hate manual labor or jobs with repetitve movements. That's the obvious way to go if you're homeless or jobless. It's not get rich quick ... but it's get money quick.

Studying copywriting, sales or anything else may cause you to starve before you got it right.

The quickest way to make money fast (out of thin air) is doing offline services with your own two hands.

      * Mow lawns for cash.
      * Clean windows at strip malls for cash.
      * Garage sale for cash.
      * Sell your stuff on Craigslist for cash.

If you don't have time for Google ranking, SEO, building a list, YouTube Creation and waiting for traffic... offline services will be the quickest way to put cash in your pocket.

Then, use the extra money to build a more stable online business.

I can't emphasis enough of creating value in what you have to offer. It starts with improving yourself.. . whether you are working on your in person communication skills or public speaking... continue improving on yourself... and when it comes down to it, find out how to communicate those ideas and what your target audience needs (not wants) and fill those needs... whatever they need (desperately), fill it in by selling them your product(s) or service(s). Just my 2 cents.

    Willingness

Willingness to put in the time and effort.

This could apply to a job, being willing to go on job interviews and get a job and putting in the effort to work so you cover your basic needs to willingness to sacrifice the immediate nice things for longer term profits for your business if that is your goal.

A lot of people have the skills and knowledge but most don't have the willingness to put in the effort. Most people want things easy so they don't have to put in any effort. They want things handed to them.

So it doesn't matter if you have the skills or knowledge, if you aren't willing to put in any effort not much is going to happen in for you in this world.
