how i added 100s of subscribers to my list per day?

Hey Warriors,

Just like to share with you guys a method i used to add 100s of subscribers to my list per day.

Here's proof...

Actually, the method i used is nothing special really. You might laugh at the simplicity of it. So what did I do exactly?

Well, i basically bought a paid solo ad from a reputable marketer with BIG LIST. Yup, it's that simple. It's important to find someone with a reputation so you don't get ripped off.

So I managed to find someone here on this forum (Warrior JV section) with a strong reputation, BIG list and accepts paid solo ad broadcast. I paid $250 to him and got slightly above 500 subscribers! It's a steal!

To protect myself, I also asked the person to guarantee me 1,000 clicks to my site. So if my email fails to produce 1,000 clicks to my site, he'll simply re-mail again until it meets the guaranteed clicks no. Most experienced marketers would be willing to guarantee clicks because they've mailed their list enough times to know the response you could get. I'd avoid those who cannot guarantee clicks.

Now some of you might get be apprehensive about spending $250 to build a list, after all, what if you don't recoup that amount?

Well, here's a trick... in your opt in page, after a visitor has entered his email address, redirect the visitor to a sales page with a cheap offer so that you can make some money and break even on your investment!! The key is to price your offer cheaply at $7 so that more people will buy.

Also, you'd want to turn off double opt-in because it makes little difference to your list's response rate. I was stupid initially and bought a solo ad with my double opt-in turned ON and lost 50% of the subscribers who didn't verify!!!

So, that's all I have, I hope you've benefited from what i've shared here.

Feel free to ask any questions

um.. you may want to keep the double opt in on, but maybe focus more on the conversion aspect of your squeeze page. but i agree solo ads are great

Thanks for the tip. I am yet to enter the JV section of this forum but will be taking a good look now. Building up an email list isn't something I have focused on in the past. We make money with other methods but everyone keeps saying the money is in the list so it is something we are starting to work on.

Crikey, this is a mirror image of the price I paid and the result I got. I would imagine it was the same guy, or someone very close to him.

You are right about turning off the opt-in. My thought for doing it was these people who are visiting the page were invited there by this well respected marketer, so it is not a page open to the "general public" as such.

I have actually turned off the opt-in for all my adswap pages for this reason and have seen no rise in SPAM complaints whatsoever but I do now get to keep everyone who enters their details on the squeeze page.

I have also stopped asking for their name. The number of people who don't put a proper name is amazing and just think how that looks on the subject line of any mails you send them, especially if its rude!

Keep your squeeze page short and sweet.

    Catchy headline in red.
Smaller black text underneath mentioning a value.
    Book graphic.
GIF of a red arrow pointing down to the sign up box.
    Sign up box.
    Short mention about privacy.
    That's it.
My squeeze page converts on average at 67% but has gone as high as 86%.

I have added it to my signature for you to see it.

The paid solo mailing is definately the way to grow your list quickly, I find at present when doing an adswap I lose almost as many as I gain, but solo ads gain a huge number of subscribers in one hit and if your OTO is good you cover your costs too

    Happy list building all.

Appreciate you pointing out your actual squeeze page - Those are impressive ppt-in rates. Was curious if that was your first incarnation or have you made adjustments along the way to the squeeze page format?

      Thanks,

        Hi Tim

With this actual squeeze page it was converting at over 50% right from the start.

        However the tweeks I made were;

Got rid of a few lines of "sales pitch":- doing this made sure the sign up box was above the fold, so any visitors can see the sign up straight away, they don't have to scroll down or go looking for the sign up box.

Adding the arrow:- Just draws the eye even more to sign up box.

Got rid of "Name" in the sign up. After all why do I need it? As mentioned above if you use it in a mail and they put a silly name it just makes you look daft.

Putting a value to the free offer:-Even though its free people still like to know they are having a bargain.

        That was pretty much it.

The free product is a 10 page ebook, the OTO is a 40 page ebook that goes a lot more in depth about Twitter and has several free ad-ons that can be used with Twitter and your blog.
I priced it at $7 through this channel.

        Hope this helps.

@Anthony has spoken. That's exactly right.

Long Sales Pitches are the least practical means of getting a good sale. As great and captivating as a well-written sales letter can be, the ordinary prospect who might consider buying the product will usually lose patience after the first few lines of a long sales pitch and close the window.

The key to securing a prospect, atleast to the extent of capturing their email address, is to produce to-the-point, impact-generating, short sales letters and squeeze pages. I've noticed excellent, high-quality prospects signing up when the squeeze page has been short but useful.

As for promoting your product through another's list, it's a good tactic if the IM who's list you are "renting" in a way is in the same niche as your product, otherwise the optins are useless.

A good (paid) endorsement from a large-list-guy who's not in the same niche will not produce good results on most occasions, a good endorsement (paid or not) from someone in the same niche as your products and who has a big list, can produce phenomenal results.

    Good luck all the way~

I've never bought an ad spot exactly like this before, but I totally agree that it should be worth it - it's said over and over that the money is in the list yet still people don't seem to believe it - our best affiliates are without exception those with email lists.

Solo ads are a great way to build a list. You mentioned you paid $250.00? In my opinion that sounds a bit pricey. I have bought solo ads for $80 and the subscriber list was near the 6 figures range. Anyhow congratulations, I advise that some should go out and DO THIS!

Wow, I heard about solos ad's but never done any myself. Will think about doing one real soon. Good tips about turning off double opt-in, it makes sense, also about reverting to a cheap offer page after they opt-in.

Great job in doing your solo ad!

This is right and I have it turned on for my blog and pages that the general public can see, but on squeeze pages that a fellow IMer has sent their list to I have it switched off.

I having been doing it this way for several months and the complaints are no greater now than they were before.

One of the things I have done is make sure ALL my mails have the same thing in them so I can seperate myself from the other IMers they get mail from, it seems to work.

      1. Always sign off in the same way, i.e. Talk Soon or To Your Success etc.
      2. Use my full name in my signature
      3. A link to my blog
      4. A small tagline about my business, mine is just 8 words.
      5. Use the Aweber code to show where and when they signed up.
      6. A disclaimer stating I never send unsolicited mails and they should assume this is a commercial email.

My complaints % range from 0% to .06% well within Awebers rules.

I send a mail almost everyday to my list and my open rate ranges between 3% to 8% usually.

I would certainly never turn off the opt-in for my blog, that would be asking for trouble but when the subscriber has been invited to the page the mindset is slightly different.
