Need Help from a Mod! (Potential Scam Victim of a "so called" fellow Warrior!)

I won't out this person until 12 midnight as I've already emailed them, but I paid someone very well to create something, was given what they considered a reasonable time frame on their end, out of the list of things to be created, only 1 was "Half Done"! (And it's been 3 weeks for what was supposed to take days!)

I did a search on their posts and threads, and it appears that the entire WSO thread has been deleted???? (When did that start?) I've been a member for over 2.5yrs, but only very active the last 7 mo's and i'm still learning my way around the forum.

Its crazy because this butthole used to pm/email me multiple times a day until I paid him, and now there's little to no communication and no replies to recent emails!

People like this need to be stopped!

Sincerely,

Excel

p.s. This is not a ploy for sympathy. I'm trying to locate the WSO thread, and I would like to
find out the proper protocol to bring this issue to resolution. Thanks

Try reading the rules. It's a good place to start.

If you have a problem with someone, put a ticket in with the help desk. And refrain from "outing" them in here if you value your account here at all.

Transactions between members aren't really admin's responsibility, but they will take action against scammers. If you can't find the WSO, the guy might have gotten booted.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience, but do contact the help desk instead of doing something to hurt yourself in here.

Did you purchase through the WSO?
If so, your receipt from WSO should have details of what to do if not satisfied.
You also might want to try opening a support ticket, add as many details as you can think of.
You're right, it stinks and, sadly, happens all too often

Since the WSO thread was deleted, it might have been deleted by a mod (although normally, I just see a problem WSO thread closed rather than deleted). All you can do is contact the help desk and all they could really do is ban the person or close the thread or both. So that won't solve your money/payment problem at all.

As for outing the person, read Rule #1 of the Forum. It's not allowed.

You know, we all have bad experiences from time to time - hopefully, they will be few, but still, it can easily happen.

If you paid by Paypal, you can open a dispute and provided you show that you have done everything reasonable to give this person a chance to fulfill their obligations, they will find in your favour. It does not necessarily mean you will get your money back, though in most cases you will.

Oh, and, as others have said, 'outing' the person will probably be the wrong strategy for a whole variety of reasons. Learn from the experience and move on.

    Good luck.

Understood. Haven't read the rule but I guess its common sense. Thanks everyone for your words of advice.

Do not out anyone here, as it is against the forum rules.

If you still have one of their PMs, then use the red triangle report icon to report them, since it appears there are no longer any threads available left where you can use the red triangle report post icon. The help desk is not the place to report scammers. However, if you did not keep any of their PMs you might be out of luck here as it appears that their posts have been deleted.

When you report this matter only report the most relevant FACTS such as dates, the Warrior's log in ID (the name they were using as a member here), what work you were paying for, their Paypal e-mail address, how long it's been since you last heard from them, etc.

Lastly, did you pay them via Paypal or via credit card or some other way?
