Hey lets start a fantastic thread. Nobody hijack it with other rubbish. Keep it short and sweet. No quotes, no links just replies with your best tip. If you dont have a tip or are a newbie then just watch the thread, dont say how good they.

I will kick it off.

There are so many free and low cost ways to promote using drop cards, flyers, bullitien boards, forums, twitter, lenses, answer sites that you dont need to pay high PPC costs to drive huge traffic. Also use solo ads. With just this strategy you can make big money out of any affiliate program with recurring billing.

"Just do it."

Whatever you want to get into. PPC marketing, article marketing, list building, etc. The List goes on and on. Sometimes, you just have to sit down and focus. Don't let each and every guru out there distract you with their shiny new techniques. Decide on what you want to do, and stick to it. Don't give up. If you follow through with ANY of the techniques, you will be able to make money. After you get enough experience, you can start branching out and explore the other techniques.

Just do it.

1. Test your ideas as quickly as possible...one project at a time...don't procrastinate. If it doesn't work, ditch it and then move to the next project.

2. Reduce to a minimum emails you receive. UNSUBSCRIBE from all lists you belong to. This will reduce un-neccessary distractions about the latest marketing 'do no work and make a million crap'. This saved me 30 mins - 60 mins every day which I put to more productive use.

One of my best tips is to build relationships. It will go along way. Especially with your customers and your JV partners. By building a realtionship with your customer and opening up a 2 way communication with them will be major. If you have problems creating products you wont no more because your customers wil totally tell you what to build that will solve the problems they are having.

But first you need to know what they need so this 2 way comunicaton will fill in the blanks for you.

Great tip. Geting help from others or outsourcing is awesome. It frees up your time to do the things you can do and enjoy to make money. Also for new people partnering up with others helps you feel confidence in getting things done.

Research a way to make money that you KNOW works. Then stick to it... do not try something else, for everything different you try takes away from your original idea. If you KNOW it works, then keep at it, and eventually you will become a master in this area. And pros usually make a lot more than the regular, average, "aww this isn't working in the first week let's quit" type of person. Also, BE PERSISTENT! This is not an overnight thing. You must take action to get towards your goal... if not everyday, then every week... just don't give up if things don't go your way. Breaks can be beneficial at times as long as you don't give up.

you mean actually take action make sure it is correct action that you are taking. If you are focusing on traffic try and focus on one or two methods and then master them instead of trying to focus on 20 different methods and then never getting very far with any of them. You will not get results you are looking for by focusing on to many things at once and you wil get discouraged and give up.

Spend time getting the right niche - everything that follows is dependent on the niche you choose

1. Find a niche with less then 3 long tailed keywords with a total 2000+ searches pm
2 < 20,000 competing Google pages when searched in " "
3. A 0.65% or higher commercial intention
4. Make sure it has good affiliate products to meed the customer need
5. Check geographic trends with Google trends

Here is my Tip: Find out if there is market for your product/service. Go to google and type in your keyword(s). If you see at least 5-8 paying ads, This will indicate that there is a market, or else advertisers would not waste their money.

This is by far no revolutionary trick, but sometimes we seem to forget, and no longer use the simple business tricks.

Ex. "skincare lotion" , "higher vertical leap" . I like to use the quotes, because it refines the search much better.

For "higher vertical leap" I see 4 google paid ads, this indicated that there is a market. You can take this step a bit further, go to clickbank --and see how many products are listed as well.

When I typed "repair damaged credit", I saw 8 paid ads. This indicates that there is a market, and people are willing to pay. Go to clickbank -- and see how many products are listed.

Your audience is all that matters.

A website business is not made - it is re-made.

You start with the basic principles and adjust it based on feedback from your audience.

Forget if you think you wrote the best email promotion.
Forget if you think you wrote the best salesletter ever.
All that matters are the results of your audience.

In followup emails, ask them exactly what they want help with...and answer them.

Either keep responses organized manually or use a survey service such as surveymonkey to keep a record of their answers. No multiple choice questions. Just ask simple basic things like..."What are you having problems with?"

To customers you should ask..."Why, exactly did you buy xx product?"

Take these answers an try to personalize and target your responses as much as you can.

This will lead you on the path to set the business to run on autopilot.

This is the same as my tip. Everyone has ideas and ambitions, but unless you carry them out, you're just like everyone else who had a great idea and never did anything with it... still broke.
