I've been interested in domain flipping for a while and I finally have a good site to sell but I don't know if I should sell it now or wait later

My website is iPhone 5 Accessories - Great Deals!
some details:
First page in Google for "iphone 5 accessories"
PR-2
Alexa-1,939,310

It has a good amount of backlinks + over 180 edu/gov backlinks

I just don't know if the site will sell well on flippa now or just wait later until the iphone 5 releases? Your thoughts? Thank you!

Wrong. Using a trademark in your domain can lead to them taking legal action against you and having your website removed.

Shoot, I might as well sell it now then risk it later?

Trademarked domains tend to make people on Flippa 'back away' from those auction. You won't have too much luck selling it and it'll probably go for 2x lower than expected because of the trademark issue in the domain. I would probably sell it right now because iPhone 5 isn't out yet, perhaps you'll have better luck.

That's definitely NOT the right answer. If you sell it Apple could sue you for cyber squatting! I'm guessing Apple probably have a large legal division on retainer that could seek substantial amount in damages plus legal costs. And that's not covering any legal costs you may incur.
I strongly suggest you seek proper qualified legal advice before you proceed to try to sell either the domain or the site.

The key question is revenue. Is there any and, if so, how much?

If the answer is none, I'd wait until you have some revenue to report before selling on flippa.

Revenue is king. As others have stated, anyone serious about spending a decent amount of money will 99% of the time will avoid a trademark issue. If you're ok with keeping it I would just keep it and try to make as much as you can. I would be concerned about the trademark issue though.

I'm VERY new to IM, but have been following the domain name business for a long time. The first golden rule that I learnt was NEVER To touch a domain name containing a TM'ed word / brand. Worth less than reg fee.

One thought for you would be to contact some of the big iphone accessory ecommerce sites to see if they'd buy the site from you.

    This is not legal advice

The problem is not if iphone 5 exists or not, it is in the use of the Trade mark name, iphone any domain name with the term iphone in it is an infringement, you might get away with it for a time, you might even get away with it long enough to sell it, but the person that buys it might only have the site for a week before getting a notice to cease and desist, (I know it is very intimidating to get one of those even when they may not be on 100 percent legal ground)

The problem for you is in how your customer will then view you, for example, if you sell someone a car that has a bad transmission in it and it only works for about a week you might get "Away" with doing that, but eventually the "Bad will" that comes with that kind of thing, will come back on you, "It always does"

Just remember, that when dealing with domain names, that have a trademark that is a product, like this one is, you have no legal room to use it legally at all, period, in fact you can get in trouble for just registering it and not using it,

so a domain with iphone in it, is not good, but you could have a domain with ilovecellphones.com notice that i phone is part of this but it is not together so it is not an infringement, (if in doubt, always check with a qualified legal representative)

    This is not legal advice.
