Questions about Articles

Hey there Warriors!

First of all, happy new year! And I wish you all success!

I want to venture into getting people to write articles that are actually informative and engaging for my blog and write maybe 2 or 3 times a week. But I have no idea of what I should be paying?

I actually want quality articles written that are shareable, engaging and inspiring, but at the same time have a few of the keywords I want to rank for in the article.

Thanks!
Nick.

"Shareable, engaging and inspiring" is a perceptive and sensitive description.

You might do very well writing them yourself. I'm "just saying" ...

      I agree.

If you want something done right, do it yourself.

I thought about going down this avenue several years ago, but choose not to. Having others write for your blog, only builds their credibility, not yours. Your credibility is your biggest asset, and to establish it, you need to write your own articles.

Do it yourself. If you can not do yourself so simply hire a good article writer for your article. You can try this web site articlewritingservices.net |

I agree write them yourself. If you just can't bare the thought of it go over to the warriors for hire section and $10 a article is going to get you average quality. Pay around $20-30 you should get pretty top knotch quality. Pay $50-80 per article should get you close to expert copywriter level.

Sometimes you can get good quality articles for only $5 for 500 words. It is good if you can write your own articles but many people are busy. They do not have the time to write articles.

Then you have an idiot writing the articles, for if the quality really is good, and the writer is only charging $5, there can't be much intelligence involved in the process of setting the pricing, for surely it's worth a lot more.

Agree - $5 an article cannot give you the standard that you are looking for. The research to create inspired and engaging material has its own value, even before the writing begins.

I hope you're well. I have enjoyed success with my writing gig over at Fiverr for a few months now, enjoying a consistent 100% rating.

I have now decided to go it alone and focus exclusively and specifically on my article writing services to clients on a personal level. Basically, I will become your long term and dedicated full time article and content writing person should you so require.

In 2012 and going forward, nothing will be more important than ‘Content Marketing’. Original and high quality content will be the critical component and will make or break any website. I am sure you know this.

Due to my time constraints and only having so many hours in a day, I will have to restrict the number of clients I work for to around 25 people. I will happily send samples of my work and my Fiverr link so that you may view my feedback and comments.

There should be no doubt about my ability to deliver an article of top quality with my research and writing skills.

We are looking at a price point of between $15-$20 per article of up to 1000 words with free revisions and amendments and even a telephone service in which I can call you if you so desire.

I am in the process of putting a site together now. It would be good to get an idea as to the number of people who may be interested in such a service. Thanks for your time...

It's true, you sound like you can put words together quite nicely, I'd stick to writing for myself if I were you. You don't need to pump out 10 articles per day to get effective results, focus on quality and you'll see these yield more traffic than many sub-par articles. That's what I've found in my own business at least.

    Best of luck.

    yes arouse your readers.

The article landscape is changing you can see that by looking around here in the forums.

if you are going to write article go for high quality. 1 quality article is better than 20 badly junky ones. Much better. Its not quantity you should be after, its quality.

IF you are going to outsource get them to give you sample first, but realistically its gunna take a while for you to find the right one, But it could be worth it.

I think keywords are important, but these days we make a truckload of sales and get massive amounts of subscribers by putting the articles infront of the right people. That is how article marketing should be done, but it is actually called syndication. Its not hard, and takes a bit of work, but in the right place one article can give you massive targted traffic and sales.

Well, the best thing you can do is start trying out different writers. I'd just suggest starting with writers that charge $15-20 for a 500 word article and see if that is the quality you are looking for, then adjust from there. If it still isn't what you want after trying out a few writers, try looking for a higher priced writer.

While price doesn't always decide content, if a writer is getting clients at $50 an article that means there are people that value their skills enough to pay that much. Generally a $5 article writer is pumping out articles as quickly as possible rather than taking their time to craft something that will draw readers in.

i would stay away from iWriter. But that is just me.

Read my post about quality above.

Do you really think you are going to get quality at 0.01c a word. No... I do not think so.

What if you spent $100 on $5 articles. Ok....lets do the math there.

      We need 20 Articles a $5 bucks a pop = $100

      Ok stay with me here.....

Those articles were probably written by some guy at 1am in the morning, in some country where he does not even speak english.

Not good. We just waisted $100.

Ok, lets go with this.... then.....

Say we spent money to hire a real writer, and got samples and loved them.

So lets say this person is not cheap. Say they charge $50 an article.

OUCH... well.... ok, but lets do the math.

      Instead of 20 articles we get 2 Articles a $50 bucks a pop = $100

We just spend the same amount, but now we have real articles we can use, and leverage. They are well written, and will help people. We post them around, and they are so good they go viral....

Do not laugh. I have done this before, and it works. I have paid much more than $50 an article by someone who can write very well.

Those 2 quality articles we got, are much better and have more power than those crappy 20 jibberish articles.

We can leverage our 2 articles also. HOW?

Easy!..... we can do videos, we can speak them in audio for podcasts, we can change into PDF and send them to free ebooks sites, we can add them to our autoresponder, we can let others bloggers use our article on high traffic sites with a link back to our site, we can print these out, or send them to trade magazines and publications and use them at trade shows..... the list goes on.

My god, I have pretty much just laid out a whole business and traffic strategy that could make you 4k a month....easily. But realistically....what is the SECRET...... errrrr......there is none. I all comes back to QUALITY, with a capital Q.

I am very bad at writing articles, and even high quality ones, as you can see from this post. (yes my grammer and punctuation sucks...ok) I probably write worse then HoMeR J SiMpSoN but alas..... if you cannot write, hire someone who can. Outsourcing is very powerful when done correctly.

Ok I am done. Hope this helps.

thanks for this! Yeah I agree that quality over quantity is the best solution in any case! I think my focus will be on hiring really good writers (or perhaps writing an article a week myself) and submitting to the places you have said

I usually write my own, but I've tried to use a few places like this to save some time by buying cheap articles. They were all horrendous. Some of them didn't even pass copyscape and they looked spun. Terrible grammar and spelling. I don't think the people that wrote them were from the United States. I'm back to writing my own content.

Some people are happy with these cheap article services. I think that they must have gotten a rare good (or desperate) writer or their own grammar skills are so poor that they don't even realize the article is garbage.

I'm grateful for people who buy dirt cheap content. I know that the content on my website will be better than theirs.

Nick, I have another angle, why not dictate onto a digital file and pay someone to transcribe and order them? If you think a little about the topic, and write a few headers to guide you might be easier. You can do a lot in advance so you wont be under time pressure later.
Through your your friend or in the Philippines where it isnt hard to get people with good English for 300USD+/month.
At first when one dictates it's a bit clumsy but after that one speeds up. I know Philipp Adams in weekend australian has dictated hi column for years and years as he lives up the coast from sydney. Just my thoughts.

In addition to what backendbuddy mentioned, make sure that your writers know how and when to use the plural and singular form of verbs.

      Example:
      Incorrect: Quality content are good.
      Correct: Quality content is good.

  • Someone may have mentioned this before - but why don't you ask for a sample?

e.g ask them to write about something, set a word count, and give them a resource to look up and specify as much as possible what you want. The more specific you are, the more specific results you get.

Once you are happy with the sample, negotiate your price.

I would have also suggested you to write them your self, but if you don't have time then (as you might understood) you will need to spend money. Buying articles is not that but if you buy them from a professional writer.

An article written from someone who know how to write will be SEO friendly with good keywords and value content. If you are satisfied with your friends' work it will be great, but if you need something better I think you might need to spend even more.

Best thing is to write yourself. If you cannot do that, then try to find a outsourcer. You can get 500 word article for 5$ I think and that is pretty cheap.
