I made these websites for $300. Was my client over or under charged?

No disrespect, but If I paid $300 I would have expected a bit more for my money.

But, that does not mean you need to lower your price.
You quoted the work, they agreed, they liked it... everyone is happy.

I am very picky with my websites.

As long as the client is happy, that's all it matters :O ...

But if it was me, I'd think that the website is a little bit of over charged.
What you can do is, put some relevant contents in, and better quality images - such as banners, logos, slideshows, etc.

        Just my 2c.

The websites look similar and can benefit from a redo. Are those website templates that your Web Hosting provider gave you? I think a few changes would make the $300 figure more feasible.

The 3d header on the first one is good but $300 does seem a bit pricey.

The menu on rickswhitelightdiner.com looks ropey to me and there is very little text in the second site.

I like that slider on your first site, is that from a certain theme or plugin?
