Suggestion About E - Commerce

Hello Warrior Memebers This is Aakash From India i have some Few Doubts About E - commerce. We are a Retail company based in India. We currently own two shops and are planning to go online and sell our products. Our products are value for money. So can any one give me a walk through on how to develop a e commerce website or some suggestion's on which shopping cart to use and any other useful information. We are planning to do this on a high scale we are currently in a phase to tie up with fed ex or other courier services for shipping. And are ready to spend around 60,000$ for this project Which include hosting, Developing a website and many other stuff needed for E coomerce . If you are a developer and can handle such type of projects Please PM me with your offers and available options

    First I would go with Wordpress, no coding and simple to use, then go to there website and search, go to wordpress dot org and click on plugins, then type in shopping cart, I use a couple and they have some very good free ones.
    This will make it an easy task and you should be up in day or two if you work full time at it. probably about 20 hours total.

    I should of said Ecwid is my favorite free one.

      Prestashop is a good platform. Other popular e-commerce solutions include osCommerce and Magento. Zencart is open-source and free as well.

      If you want to bypass some of the headaches with the above options you may want to try full services like Shopify.com or BigCommerce.com.

    Take a look at hosted cart solutions like BigCommerce.com or Shopify.com
    These are quick to set up, scalable and affordable.

    There are lots of Free Open Source Shopping Cart available in Market which you use for the e-commerce solution. Take the look at the following Link and find out which is best for you. You do not need that much amount to spent on cart.

    For Ecommerce, most of the Open Source & Paid or Hosted are built in with Payment Gateway, functionality just choose what is best for you. Apply to them and then link with your Shopping Cart.

    You can do it yourself if you have a little knowledge of the softwares.

    The one Good are 2CO, Moneybookers, Paypal, Alertpay, Authorize.net - Good for Indians.

    I use Cube Cart. Very very easy to set up, comes integrated with various payment methods and merchant accounts and you can get the cart customized very easily as well.

    A couple of points.
    1. Assuming you are as serious as you sound then I would not go for an off the shelf software. You can have a full bespoke solution built for you that will work exactly the way you want it. I looked into the ready made solutions for my e-commerce site and none of them fitted what I wanted. My bespoke solution was provided for around £2000. It works very well.

    2. Are you sure that you want to go into e-commerce. If you have a product range that anyone can walk into a high street store and buy then you might struggle to get online sales. If however you have products that are quite niche then you can make a good go of it.

    3. I was emailed details of a website that trains you up to run an e-commerce site. It has a lot of training for free. storecoach.com (non aff)

      Well i am quite serious about i said and the niche is damm good so we think there will be some sales in the initial release of the website. Our niche is that we will provide Furnishing, Crockery Items at a very reasonable price which you cant beat for sure. And i will look into the bespoke solution which you have suggested. Thanks Again

    Hire a Warrior Member to do the Job, they are best, choose what you want.

    In India, if you want can also see www.znetlive.in - They also provide E Commerce help. Based in India I think you can get help easily. But they are not so economic. There charge are somewhat much higher than you can get here in WF.

    I always prefer WF- Coz WF is best provider of many services.
