Okay I will try this again. I want to contain all there is to know about Videos in one thread.
Some of the things I would like to know are;
1.How can you make money with video right now.
2. Are you making money with video right now.
3. Software programs you use for video.
4. Video sites you use.
5. Do you think video emails are okay.
6. Where do you think we stand on videos and the web right now.

I am making a website right now based probally 60 percent on video. costing me a fortune, well not to some but I am already at a thousand and have a long way to go. I think that is alot since I built it myself.

Please give me all your thoughts and if you have more add them to it. I want to get this thread going till I am the master at videos.

If you are focusing on video I think traffic geyser is a incredibly important tool to get your videos all over the place and added ranking power. Making the picture of the video eye ball catching always works for me. I see a pretty girl I click. I see a shocking headline I click. Building backlinks to the video to get it search engine traffic helps get more views. I am a writing content type of guy but video marketing works on me. You tube gives you a lot of credit for views and subscribers then keywords. Some people go through the exchange sites to boost views or buy views to help get listed on suggested videos. That sometimes is the difference maker. That is my 2 cents. I am no expert but I wanted to add something.

When I build a website, I will do it like real life. I add everything, including my time. Time is money. But I had to buy a few scripts. Profits Theme, S3mediavault and a couple of more, I bought most the videos about 524 of them. but I am also making them.

I didnt buy crap so the videos were expensive. My time is worth 30 an hour to me, this is what I make as a Nurse so this is what I put down on paper.

      Hope that helps.

    Well Hustlinsmoke'er,

Seriously,, if you wanted to really keep your budget down you can simply use your webcam and Youtube. A ton of people on here, including myself, use it.

And if you wanna have some editing software to spruce up your videos, PowerDirector is only $49. And you can make pretty killer videos with it.

You may be overdoing it. A lot of people spend way too much thinking you need to go top of the line. But go look at the WSO sales pages,, they all have youtube videos.

And even when I bought some wso's, they still had youtube vids in them.

I'm a beleiver in quality information,,, not dazzling flashy worthless videos. If you have good content,, who cares how good it looks.

Robert X for President,,, thank you

I could have did all that. But its a membership site and I want as much unique content as possible.

I also want to protect my videos from being downloaded. I needed to use amazon's cloud service so if someone in China see's a video it opens up quick.

I'm not going over the top, just doing what I think needs to be done is.

I could of gotten all those videos off illegal sites or paid under what the mrr says to pay. One of my resolves this year is not to rip off other marketers and pay them for there work, this can get expensive.

Yes Profits Theme was a little expensive, not the most but willy and the boys give great support and I can use that script over and over.

Like I said my time is worth 30 and hour, do you know how long it takes to convert almost 300 videos to mp4 and upload them to amazon on dsl lol.

Takes a while and I have to monitor it due to the fact I get broken videos sometimes. So time wise its about 500.00

If I can build a website for a 1,000, now I'm talking a quality website that gets traffic, I double my money in a very short time and every month it is up and monetizing it's value just increases.

Why do it the cheap way when the other way will pay off more later?

Video marketing has always been at arms length for me as I never learned how to make vids.

I did play with my Friends slice tool making vids with anamoto, but they need to be seo'd to get traffic from the search engines. (yeah I can do it just have not put that effort into them)

It is something that I should pay more attention to as it is not the same simplicity of throwing up a wordpress blog (therefore different competition)

I have been considering making videos but all I have come up with is with the Windows Movie Maker and the blue initial screen. What do you guys think of using Windows Movie Maker for marketing videos? Too cheapish? Any products you guys recommend, preferably simple and free/free to try?

    Thanks

    1. You can either make money with Youtube (the Youtube version of AdSense) or direct your traffic to an offer outside Youtube. You can promote some CPA offers related to the topic of the video, or you can send the traffic to an AdSense site, for example. There are many ways to monetize Youtube traffic.

    2. Yep, I am. I don't mean this post to look self-promotional, but if you want to know how I make money with Youtube, check out my signature.

    3. If you mean what I use for video creation, I use Animoto, Camtasia and Sony Vegas.

    4. I only use Youtube and Vimeo.

    5. If you mean sending an email to your newsletter containing a video, that's perfectly fine. It's a good way to make the email look more personable and enjoyable.

    1. How can you make money with video right now? Right now? You can't, it takes time.

    2. Are you making money with video right now? Yes, after I put the work in.

    3. Software programs you use for video. Final Cut Pro. Adobe Premiere Pro is equal to FCP as well. Sony Vegas Movie Studio ($84) is probably your best bet. Don't use Windows movie maker, the blue title screen yells 'Amateur'.

    4. Video sites you use. YouTube

    5. Do you think video emails are okay? Yep, and sending them with YouTube is probably the most compatible format for email at this time.

    6. Where do you think we stand on videos and the web right now? Feels like a book report... well here's what I envision. Video will beat out article marketing within the next 2-3 years, once GooTube improves the algorithm to search video for content. (If I owned ezinearticles, I'd surely be creating a companion site called ezinevideos). There will be content creators making a living off of videos and ads simply on YouTube alone. More video site alternatives may spring up because of too many ads on YouTube. Viewing live events online will be the norm and possibly live Internet shows (taped before a live online audience). The technology will get faster with better quality, as well as decreasing the file size of videos.
Also at some point there will be a backlash against YouTube's terms of service/ads/canceled accounts/new layout/etc. and there will be an Internet video revolution. But by that time it will be too late because Google will own everything and the Google police will be everywhere. Where's my tin foil hat?

Anyway, if you want to be the video master I suggest you study, read, and study some more. My sig may help.

And if you even spent $1000 just on the 524 videos alone, that's less than $2 a video. I'm real curious to see what these look like. Can you send us an example?

I do not want to, just because I am keeping the site on raps till it is near completed. I can answer your question in a way to satisfy you though. 8 of the videos were specifically made for promotions and cost about 20 a piece. Not upper level but close to it.

Some came from expensive sites. Wordpress 3 videos. and the rest are old wordpress 2 videos. As well has other how to videos on setting dns ect, The basics of web building and how to do things.

So It was a combination of upper level videos and old videos on the net. I got them all if not to use but to go by if I have to redo them to make my own video.

I am not by any means a video expert. I have to figure out how to add links and tags and stuff like that. I use camtasia and a couple more free screen capture software. You know when you been around as long as me,

I am almost 50, it is hard to change but to be an Internet Marketer you must accept and use change to be effective and this is what this thread is for, to teach me my stupidities and to be better help me to change.
