Kindle copywriting question

Hi all... Anyone in the Kindle arena - what do you do for book descriptions? As in, do you use a subtle form of copywriting to help market the book to the prospective buyer?
Traditional copywriting, I think, would be a bit OTT so I was wondering how the experts might go about it?
Thanks

Hi, I generally look at other physical book bestsellers in the same niche to see how they have written their book descriptions. You can generally pick up some good ideas for your own description, although it is suprising how badly written some of the descriptions are for even some of the better selling books are.

      Hi there,

Unless your book is aimed at people who expect and like a hard-sell style, the style for pitching a book on Amazon should be similar in tone to the copy on the back of a paperback book.

A strong headline, an informative summary of the book and who it is for, tempting bullet points and a non-hypey author bio.

      Good luck,
